ReadingAnalysis of the teaching material and the students:This passage puts forward the issue about global warming, introducing its causes and effects and different attitudes towards it. The purpose of this passage is to make the students know about the causes and effects of global warming and to promote their environmental awareness by reading and using different reading skills.
As for the students, they have learned some knowledge about the issue on global warming in the geography lesson, which increases their interest in learning this passage.
