Step 1. Warming-up and revision
1. Deal with yesterday’s homework.
2. Revise the drills of talking about TV shows.
Step 2. Presentation
1a Section B on Page 36.
Read and learn the words in the boxes.
Look at the pictures, read and learn the names under the pictures. Choose words from the box and write them under the pictures . Each picture can have more than one word. Try to understand these words.
Step 3. Listening
1. 1b Section B on Page 36, Ss listen to the tape and circle the description words in 1a.
2. 1c on Page 36, Ss listen again and fill in the blanks .
Step 4. Oral work
1d on Page 36, Ss talk about what John and Mary like to watch and why. Then tell the partners the same things . Just like the following sentences.
John wants to watch......because ......
I want to watch ......because ......
My partner likes to watch...... because ......
Step 5. Presentation
1. 2a Section B on Page 37, Ss discuss the questions with their partners.
2. Help Ss learn the new words .
Step 6. Reading
1. 2b on Page 37,Ss read the passage and complete the time line on Page 38.
2. Leave Ss enough time to do it. Then check after the students’ work.
3. The teacher helps the Ss to understand the difficulties in the reading materials.
4. Ask Ss to read the passage together aloud .

Step 1. Warming-up and revision
1. Deal with yesterday’s homework.
2. Revise the passage on Page 37.
3. Revise the TV shows and words in unit 5 .
Step 2. Writing
3a on Page 39,Ss complete the movie review , using the words in the box. Leave enough time to encourage the Ss to do , then check. The teacher helps the Ss to understand the difficulties in the reading materials . Ask Ss to learn from Mulan.
Step 3. Presentation
Finish the exercises in Self Check quickly,check after students’ work.
Step 4. Writing
1. 3b on Page 39, write notes for your own movie review.
2. 3c on Page 39, Ss write a movie review using the notes in 3b, the teacher help them if necessary.
3. 4 on Page 40. Ask and answer with partner about TV shows and movies. Write description words for each one.
Step 5. Review the Grammar
动词不定式是由“不定式符号to+动词原形”构成的一种非谓语动词结构。动词不定式没有人称和数的变化,可以作句子的主语、表语、宾语、定语、补语、状语或单独使用,只是不能作谓语。不定式保留动词的某些特性,可以有自己的宾语、状语等。动词不定式和它后面的宾语、状语等一起构成短语,叫作不定式短语。有些动词不定式不带to。
1.动词不定式做宾语的用法:
动词不定式(短语)可以放在一些动词后面用作宾语,常见的跟动词不定式做宾语的动词有:
想要 want, 期望 expect, 希望hope, 计划plan, 决定decide, agree同意, would like 想要, 开始begin,开始start, 忘记forget,记住remember, 学习learn, 喜欢like, 讨hate, 厌爱love, 需要need
I want to tell you a story. 我想给你讲个故事。
Jack plans to buy some flowers for Mr. Wu.
杰克计划给吴老师买些花。
They begin to work at eight every morning.
他们每天早晨8点开始工作。
Don’t forget to lock the door.别忘了锁门。
Would you like to go and have a picnic with us tomorrow
明天和我们一起去野餐好吗?
2.如果and连接两个动词不定式,第二个动词不定式一般省“to”例:
He wants to go and have a swim with us.
他想和我们一起去游泳。
3. 若作宾语的动词不定式(短语)很长,可用it作形式宾语。
I think it interesting to learn English with you.
我认为和你一起学英语很有趣。
He found it hard to catch up with others.
他觉得赶上别人很困难。
4. 动词decide, know, learn, show, teach, tell,understand,find out...,可用疑问词带to的不定式短语 作宾语
如:Could you please tell me where to park my car
您能告诉我哪儿停车吗?
I don’t know what to do next. 我不知道接下来干什么。
5. like, love, stop, forget, remember,try 等动词后面既可以跟动词不定式,也可以跟动名词形式,但意义和用法上有差别。
6. 省略to 的不定式
有些动词后面跟动词不定式时应将不定式符号to省去。常见的动词有let, make, feel, help, watch, hear,see等。例句:
Let me help you. 让我来帮助你。
Can you help me clean the house 你能帮助我打扫房间吗?
My best friend makes me laugh. 我最好的朋友使我发笑。
I saw him go into the room. 我看见他进了房间
