3.To listen to the arrangement in the order of time and locate some detailed information about the activity.

【教学过程】
Step 1 presentation-The basketball final
Show some pictures about sports, introduce some games, such as football match, basketball match, high jump, long jump.
Ask some questions:
Do you like sports
Do you often watch basketball matches
Are you in the school basketball team
More questions:
When and where do you usual do sports
Who do you do sports with
How often do you do sports
Say: when I’m free, I like watching ball games. Basketball is my favourite. I think the final is usual the most exciting game to watch. Have you ever watched a basketball final
Show a picture and say: This is a basketball final. Sunshine Middle School basketball team is in the final. We are going to watch it, but I’m not sure of the time, the place and the cost of the trip. Would you please help me find the information
Step 2 Practice
Look at the poster and ask some questions.
Which school is in the final of the basketball competition
Where will the match take place
Complete some of the table with the information from Part A1.Teacher says: Let’s listen to the tape and complete the table.
Play the tape for twice, then complete A2.
Play the tape again, complete Part A3, and correct some information.
Step 3 Presentation-speak up
Ask some questions: Do you often go to watch the matches with your friends Do you know how to invite your friends Daniel and Kitty are planning a day out for Linda.Please listen to the tape and tell me where they’ll go.
Play the tape and then answer the questions:
They are going to the China Science and Technology Museum.
Play the tape again, read after it.
Step 4 Practice
Teacher says: I’d like to visit a place of interest in our city, but I don’t know where to go. Can you give me some suggestion
Give some expressions about giving suggestions
Read the dialogue after the tape.
Students read the dialogue in pairs, ask some pairs to act it out.

Recite Speak up
Preview Study skills
【教学反思】
Most of the students can listen to the tape well, and complete the passage by themselves. But for some poor students, they need to practice more.
