①二者都可以引导宾语从句,意为“是否”,一般情况下可以互换。
②引导宾语从句时,whether可直接与or not连用,而if 不可以。
③if 可以引导条件状语从句,意为“如果”,而whether不可以。
④介词后面只能用whether。
⑤带to的动词不定式前面用whether,不用if。
