关系词 用 法 例 句
who(先行词指人) 关系从句中作主语或宾语,作宾语时可以省略;作宾语时也可以用whom。 The man(先行词)who is shaking hands with my father is a policeman.(作主语)
正和我父亲握手的那个人是警察。
Is that the actor(先行词)who /whom you talked about last week?(作宾语)
那是上周你们谈论的那个演员吗?
注意:如果引导词紧接在介词之后,只能用whom,不能用who。 The person(先行词)to whom you should write is Mr Smith.你应该写信给史密斯先生。
which(先行词指物) 在关系从句中可作主语或宾语。作宾语时,可以省略。 She told us a story(先行词)which/that moved us deeply.(作主语)她给我们讲了一个让我们深深感动的故事。
The house(先行词)(which/that)they lived in was very modern.(作宾语)他们住的房子很现代化。
只用which而不用that的情况 ①先行词有指示代词修饰。 I want that book(先行词)which is on your right.我想要你右边那本书。
②引导词(又叫关系代词)前有介词。 The classroom(先行词)in which we study is bright.我们学习的教室是明亮的。
只能用that不能用which的情况 ①先行词是不定代词或被不定代词修饰时,关系代词通常只用that,不用which。 He did everything(先行词)that he could do to help us.他做了一切他能做的来帮助我们。
②先行词被序数词、形容词最高级、the only,the very,the last等修饰时,关系代词通常只用that,不用which。 This is the most beautiful city(先行词)that I’ve ever seen.这是我见过的最漂亮的城市。
③先行词既有人又有物时,关系代词只用that不用which。 Tom took photos of the things and people(先行词)that he was interested in.汤姆拍摄了他感兴趣的物和人的照片。
④句中其他位置已出现which,为避免重复,不用which而用that引导限定性关系从句。 Which is the car(先行词)that has overtaken us?超过我们的是哪辆车?

Children across the world are taking pictures of their school meals.They are sending these pictures over the Internet to a young girl in Scotland.Then she shares the pictures and stories with people around the world.The girl’s name is Martha.She likes to write.So Martha decides to start her own blog (博客).Every day, she writes on the Internet about the meals she eats at school.She also takes pictures of the food.
Martha is very honest about the food.She does not just describe the food.She judges (评价) the taste of the food.She also judges how healthy the food is.Sometimes she likes the food, and sometimes she does not.Now, other people send pictures to Martha.Students around the world share their pictures of their school food!
Martha also starts her blog for another important reason. She begins to raise money for the organization Mary’s Meals. Mary’s Meals works in the East African country of Malawi.It provides food for children in schools.Martha encourages her readers to send money to Mary’s Meals to help build a kitchen.
