学情分析
(1)语言基础:六年级的小学生接触英语已经三年了,具备了一定的英语知识素养,他们在四年级学过了storybook, maths book, Chinese book, English book等有关书籍的词汇,为今天学习dictionary,word book...奠定了基础。
(2)心理特点:六年级的小学生思维逐渐向抽象逻辑思维过渡,具有一定的归纳、总结和整理的能力,是思维能力发展的时期,他们在词汇学习过程中能够注重词汇背后深层含义的挖掘,对词汇的构词、拼读规律以及应用能够进行初步的归纳和总
结。
教学目标
1. 学生能够听、说、读、写描述书店中常见物品的四个单词和词组:dictionary, comic book, word book, postcard
2.学生能够运用新词汇完成去书店购书的角色扮演活动。
3.学生能够养成热爱读书的好习惯。
教学重点:表示书店中常见物品的四个单词和词组:dictionary, comic book, word book, postcard,能够和同学角色扮演买书。
教学难点:名词的单数和复数,dictionary的发音以及书写。

教学活动
一、Warm-up
1.Let’s sing a song
【设计意图】欣赏歌曲能够迅速地将学生的注意力吸引到英语课堂中来,教师根据歌曲提问,为新课做好铺垫。
2. Watch and answer
What is Mike going to do
What is John going to do
Mike is going to see a film.
John is going to buy his favourite comic book.
二、Presentation
1.T: 出示课本情景图.Let’s look at the picture. John is going to buy a comic book. In the comic book, the pictures are beautiful and the stories are funny. Do you like comic books 老师板书:comic book,让学生跟读单词,学生齐读,学生分组读,注意纠正发音错误。教师可以用不同的方式让学生重复单词,如大小声读、开火车读、分组读等,增加学习的趣味性。
2. 同样的方法教授:word book。
区别word book--pictures and words;comic book--pictures and stories
3.This is a postcard. In the front of the postcard, there are beautiful pictures. On the back of the postcard, you can write some sentences to your friend, then write your friend’s address and zip code, and then write your address and zip code. Of course, don’t forget the stamp! At last, you can send it to your friend.
4.This is a Chinese dictionary, and this is an English dictionary. Dictionary is our good friend. It’s our good teacher, too. It helps us understand the new words.
提示:dictionary复数变y为i +es dictionaries
5. This is a word book. You can practice animal words, food words, fruit words and so on.
【设计意图】教师边呈现新词汇,边讲解这些书籍的特点及用途,让学生体会到自己可以从各类书籍中学到不同的知识。
5. In the bookstore, there are many comic books, many word books, many postcards and many dictionaries.(教师拿出很多书籍,呈现这些词汇的复数形式。)
三、Activity
1. What’s missing 游戏巩固新词。
2. Listen to the tape and repeat.
3.Read after the teacher.
【设计意图】学生通过听音跟读、跟教师读、“猜一猜”游戏等活动掌握单词和词组的音、义、形,并且突破名词的单、复数这一难点。

4.挑战成为书店优秀店员。
五、Extension
1. Make a book shopping list(学生自制购书单,然后进行交流)
2. Role-play
①教师播放课件,引导学生学习如何在书店中购书、卖书的相关句型。
②教师请几名学生到前面与自己一起完成角色扮演,进行示范。
③学生四人一组,完成购书、卖书的角色扮演活动。
④全班展示。
【设计意图】这是一个培养学生综合语言运用能力的任务型活动,学生首先自制购书单,然后教师进行示范,
之后学生以组为单位进行角色扮演,在合作中运用新词汇进行交际。
六、Homework
1.Make some sentences with “dictionary, comic book, word book, and postcard”.
2.Make a poster for the bookstore.
【设计意图】设计不同难度的作业,学生可以根据自己的学进行选择,尊重学生的个体差异。
