Topic-analysis This lesson is a revision and extension of writing lesson in module 2 textbook3 . The central topic of this unit is "Make a difference." The story is about a Canadian boy who donated and raised money to help dig Wells in poverty-stricken areas in Africa, so that African children can drink safe water. This lesson is based on the idea of the article in this module, so that students can complete a composition about an effective person around them by summarizing the structure of the text and the content involved. It aims to cultivate and influence students' emotional education, including positive and healthy attitude towards study and life, by recalling the experiences with teachers in the three years of high school, so as to establish a reasonable future plan and realize the meaning and value of life.
Students’ analysis Senior high school students are going to face the college entrance examination in more than 50 days, both physically and mentally reaching the limit of tension. Through reviewing this lesson, in terms of teaching methods, the teacher allows students to find problems and put forward suggestions for revision through group discussion and mutual evaluation, and then select two or three typical works for display, guiding students to pay attention to the structure of discourse and detailing the description of characters in practical writing so as to achieve the purpose of improving practical writing. At the same time, through the memory and description of their favorite teachers, they can also get spiritual comfort, so that they can face the study and college entrance examination in a better state.
