教学目标
1. Students can learn about the meanings and functions of different body language. 2. Students can know the implications of body language in different cultures, and make a body language information sheet.
教学内容
教学重点: 1. Students can make a description of body language and their meanings and functions. 2. Students search for related information and explore the implications of body language in different cultures, and then make a classification. 教学难点: 1. Each student can actively take part in group work, spare no effort to make the body language information sheet and communicate with classmates in English fluently. 2. Students can understand and use body language properly in daily life and cross-cultural communication.
教学过程
Step 1 Watch and learn 1. The teacher plays a clip of video from Charlie Chaplin’s silent film “Police” and asks students to find out the body language in different scenes. 2. Students describe the body language and figure out their meanings. Step 2 Review Students review the body language they have learned in this unit, including body language in daily life and in classroom. Step 3 More to learn 1. The teacher helps students to make a classification of body language and put the body language they know into different classifications. 2. The teacher provides students with pictures of more body language to each classification. Students describe the pictures and figure out their meaning, and meanwhile, pay special attention to their different implications in different cultures. Step 4 Make an information sheet 1. The teacher shows students the suggested steps to make an information sheet. 2. Based on what has been learned in this class, students work in groups to make their own body language information sheet according to the steps. 3. Students share their information sheet and exchange information to enrich their knowledge about body language. 板书:(共24张PPT)
