生活中随处可见各种各样的标识，这些标识告诉我们可以做或不可以做某事。下面是常见的标识语结构：
1. No+动词的- ing形式
用来提醒某人不要做某事，意为“禁止 ；请勿 ”，多用于公共标牌。后面连接两个动词时，中间要用 or,不能用 and。
如: No smoking.禁止吸烟。
No eating or drinking.请勿饮食。
2. No+名词(复数)
如: No pedestrians.禁止行人通行。

3.祈使句肯定形式：动词原形+其他.
如: Go straight on.直行。

1. 一般疑问句
“ Does... mean‘…’ ”是用于询问标识是否是某个意思的一般疑问句句型。
句中的主语可以用 this/ that sign,也可以用 it; 其答句为“ Yes, it does.”或“ No, it doesn't.”
该句型的复数句为:—Do they/ these / those signs mean“…”
—Yes, they do./ No, they don't.
如: (1)—Does this sigh mean “Be careful” —No, it doesn't.
(2)—Do they mean “No smoking” —Yes, they do.
2. 特殊疑问句
“What does … mean ”是用于询问某标识是什么意思的特殊疑问句句型。
句中的主语可以用 this/ that sign,也可以用 it, 其答句为“ It means...”。
