As a Chinese saying goes, a friend in need is a friend indeed. So I think true friendship should help each other when they are in trouble. I have a close friend. His name is John. Me and my after-class course
In my school, there are many kinds of after-class courses. I choose the course of DIY. DIY literally means doing it yourself.
My first task was to use the colored bubble mud to paste a colored blessing on the small board, and then make a frame with colored wool. Because I think everyone has a different understanding of happiness, I made a word Fu into color. It’s quite a test of a person’s patience to do some simple handicrafts, such as cross stitch, folding thousand paper cranes…
Through this study, I have learned that we can make handmade things in many ways. Waste bottles, wool, ice cream sticks and so on can become raw materials for handmade crafts. We can create our own satisfactory works through our own imagination. If we can have more kinds of activities to choose from, it will be better.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step
Have you heard of the saying “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” It means that starting a good life is the result of the beginning.
Last summer holiday, I wanted to learn how to swim. I asked my father to teach me. I went to the swimming pool with my father. He taught me how to swim. At first, I was afraid of diving in the water. And I felt uncomfortable in the water. But my father always encouraged me. He said he would protect me. Then I began to swim, but I couldn’t swim forward at all. It made me upset. Then my father told me how to move, how to stretch out my hands and legs. Slowly I could move a little. It took me about four hours to learn to swim. I felt quite happy.
From this experience, I have learned a lot. The first step is always the hardest. But if you do it in a proper way and never give up, you will make it.
