3.Understand the structure and content of the brochure and make a brochure for your school,presenting the basic information and features of the school.

2. Guide students to use what they have learned in the unit, search for information online, and do things in English.

I Lead-in
Present the Freshmen Week and introduce the three activities in this class
II Presenting ideas
Propose suggestions for the head teacher and prepare a short presentation.
(1)Brainstorm for idea
Work in pairs. Think about the changes the students would suggest to the head teacher to improve their school
(2)Brainstorm for structure
Guide students to add an introduction in the beginning and a conclusion to show our appreciation. Guide students to use the expressions in the textbook.
(3)Teamwork
Guide students to divide their work reasonably within the group, fully express their own opinions, and record the opinions of others.
(4)Presentation
Present students suggestions to class.
(5)Evaluation
Rate which is the best group-work suggestion according to the chart.
III Reflection challenge
(1)Guide students to go through the whole unit.
(2)Complete the reflection chart and internalize what the students have mastered.
IV Project
Make a brochure for your own school for new and future students.

Ask students to collect brochures of other schools before class and find what features they mention.

②Choose suitable pictures and set them with the text according to your chosen layout.
③Decide on a slogan for the school and add it to the brochure.
(4)Present
①Present the brochure to the class.
②Vote on the best one according to the Criteria.
V Summary and homework
Search the internet and discuss whether there is any other information that should be included. Then polish the brochure.
