Chinese comedienne(喜剧女演员) and actress Jia Ling, known for her cheerful personality and her bright smile, has been very low-key(低调) in the past years. The plus-sized star recently said that she was losing weight for a coming role.
Jia Ling has lost 50 kg for her new movie YOLO, which means You Only Live Once. From the exposed photos, Jia Ling looks like a completely different person. In the early teasers(预告片) for Yolo, people saw Jia Ling’s devotion to her role as a boxer. However, it wasn’t until the movie’s release(上映) that people truly got to know her change.
This version of Jia Ling is both familiar(熟悉) and unfamiliar. She still has that familiar dimple(酒窝） smile, but now she has strength that she hasn’t had before. Now she is thin and beautiful, making it hard to imagine that this is the same Jia Ling we once knew.
Slimming down from 100 kg to 50 kg can’t be achieved one night. Jia Ling has shown through her actions that if you can’t bear the pain of discipline, you will have to accept the ordinariness of yourself. She doesn’t want to accept the ordinariness and has chosen to challenge herself. Her road to success has been filled with difficulties and challenges, but she has never given up.
