1. until prep.&conj. 直到……为止；到……时
作介词时，在肯定句中表示“直到……为止”，后跟一个具体的时间点。此时谓语动词只能是延续性动词，表示这一动作或状态延续到until所表示的时间为止。
e.g. They talked on until one o'clock in the morning.
作介词或连词时，都可以用于not...until结构。

使用语境：是对How are you？和How are you doing？等问候语的回答，因此不能翻译为“我做得很好。”而要翻译为“我很好。”相当于I'm fine。

3. 辨析 get to know和know
get to know 强调动作，指“从不认识到认识的渐进过程”。
know 强调状态，指“认识，了解，知道”。是延续性动词，可以和表示一段时间的状语连用。
e.g. She is very nice when you get to know her.

4. across from”在对面；在对过”介词短语，在句中可作表语、状语。
e.g. The hospital is across from the shop. (作表语)
There is a restaurant across from the post office. (作状语)
Across from the park, we can see the trees clearly. (作状语)
across from其同义词组为opposite to “在……对面；和……相反”。
