【语法精讲】
一、形容词比较级的规则变化
单音节词和少数双音节词 构成方法 原级 比较级
一般在词尾加-er tall, long, short, small taller, longer, shorter, smaller
以字母e结尾的形容词直接加-r nice, fine, large nicer, finer, larger
以重读闭音节结尾的形容词,如末尾只有一个辅音字母,应先双写该字母,再加-er big, hot, thin bigger, hotter, thinner
以“辅音字母+y”结尾的形容词,先把y变成i,再加-er busy, easy, early busier, easier, earlier
二、形容词比较级的用法
用法 例句
表示“A 比B更……”,用“A+be+比较级+than+B”结构 I am taller than you. 我比你高。
表示选择性疑问“A与B中,哪一个更……”时,用“Which/Who+be+比较级,A or B ” Who is taller, Tom or John 谁更高一些,汤姆还是约翰
表示“在某一范围……比任何一个都……”,用“比较级+any other+可数名词单数” Gina is taller than any other student in her class. 吉娜比她班里的其他任何一个学生都高。
表示“A和B一样”,用“as+原级+as” Tony is as tall as Bob.托尼和鲍勃一样高。
【温馨提示】形容词比较级的修饰词:在比较级前常用much(……得多),even(甚至),still(更), a little(一点),a bit(有点)等来修饰,表示程度进一步加深。
