当先行词是表示时间的名词(如time、 day、 year、 month、 week等),且关系词
Winter is the time of year when the day is short while the night is long.

The sweet spot in life to start exercising, if you haven't already,
is in late middle age ______ the heart still has flexibility(柔韧性)," Levine says.
when
地点的名词(如case、 state、 stage、 condition、 point、 situation、occasion等),
The school where his sister works is a key middle school.
We have reached a point where a change is needed.
Is there a shop around where we can get some fruit
Where there is a will, there is a way.[谚]有志者,事竟成。
We should go where we are needed.

That movie led him into the second half of his career _______ his
comedic(喜剧的) presence alone could make a movie a financial success.
where

At the Chinese art festival, there are different stands _______
artists demonstrate their skills and teach the visitors.
where
3.why
This is the reason why he left in a hurry.
The reason that he told me yesterday is a lie.

Bailey
was more than two-thirds of the way"可知,本题选race。
2023·全 国乙卷 55 C.winning 上文提到的"champion""51( defeated) two Russians"
"one of the best gymnasts"等关键词都暗示她获得了奥运
在句及下文中的"but taste of water"可知本题选D项。
54 B.look 由上文中提到的"not at all like the nice,round,47
(shiny) things you get in a supermarket"可知,此句

Reaching down, I touched its feather, my heart racing. I could see there
was a red hook in its body, and that a fishing line was wrapped around its
neck. I rushed to the shore and came back with a pair of scissors we used for
cutting the end of the fishing line. "You have to hold it, Jacob. If it struggles,
the hook will kill it." When I picked up the loon, my hands were shaking,
afraid that it might hurt me with its beak. But the loon was silent and still.
"Hurry, Dad! I can't hold this bird forever, you know!" I said. Using the
scissors, Dad cut away the fishing line from the loon's neck. Then, slowly but
carefully, he took off the hook from the bird and finally he set the loon free.
I patted the loon's head to express my thanks that it hadn't used its beak to
hurt me. Never would I forget the scene when that family of loons back up
into the sky.
