动词不定式和双宾语
一、不定式作宾语
动词不定式置于谓语动词之后,作动词的宾语,表明意图、希望或决定的内容。常见情况如下:
1.有些动词如 need,agree,decide,choose, hope, offer, plan, refuse, would like等后面只能接不定式作宾语。
2.有些动词如 like, love, begin,start既可用不定式作宾语,又可用v.-ing作宾语,但意义差别不大。
eg:I like singing, but now I don't like to sing.我喜欢唱歌,但现在不想唱。
3.还有些动词如 forget,remember, stop, go on,try等之后接不定式与接v.-ing作宾语,意义差别很大。
如:stop to do sth.表示“停下来去做某事”,stop doing sth.表示“停止做某事”。
eg:Please remember to lock the door.请记得锁门。
I remember locking the door.我记得我锁过门了。
二、双宾语
1.在英语中,有些动词可以接两个宾语,即指人的间接宾语和指物的直接宾语,这两个宾语称为“双宾语”。句子
结构为“及物动词+间接宾语+直接宾语”。有时可用“及物动词+直接宾语+to/for+间接宾语”来表达。
2.可以接双宾语的动词很多,常见的有:
(1)借助 to 引出间接宾语的有:bring,give, show, pass, lend, hand, offer, teach, take, sell 等。
eg:He gave me a present. =He gave a present to me.他送给我一件礼物。
(2)借助 for引出间接宾语的有:buy,make, cook,get, choose等。
eg:My parents bought me a new bike. =My parents bought a new bike for me.父母给我买了一辆新自行车。
3.在下面几种情况下,通常要用to或for。
(1)当直接宾语是人称代词it/them 时。
eg:Please give it to my mother.请把它给我妈妈。
(2)当强调间接宾语时。
eg: My mother cooks meals for us every day.妈妈每天给我们做饭。
(3)当直接宾语比间接宾语长时。
eg: Actually, I don't want to give my lovely pet dog to you.事实上,我并不愿意把我可爱的宠物狗给你
动词不定式作宾语补足语的三种情况
1、后接带to的不定式作宾语补足语,常见的动词有:tell, ask, want, allow,invite,
teach, encourage, wish等。这些动词后的不定式符号to不可以省略。如:She
asked me to help her with her English.她让我帮助她学习英语。
2、后接不带to的不定式作宾语补足语,常见的动词有:使役动词let, have, make等;
感官动词feel, hear, see, watch,notice等。这些动词后的不定式符号to要省略。
如:The boss made the workers work over ten hours a day in the past.在过去,老板
让工人们每天工作十多个小时。I saw Li Lei fall down from his bike.我看见李
雷从他的自行车上摔了下来。
3、后既可以接带to的不定式,也可以接不带to的不定式作宾语补足语,常见的动词有
help。如:Could you help me (to) carry the heavy box 你能帮我搬这个重箱子吗
动词不定式作目的状语
动词不定式作目的状语,用来修饰动词,表示某一动作或状态的目的。如:Mum has come
back ahead of time to give me a surprise.为了给我一个惊喜,妈妈提前回来了。
动词不定式作目的状语,既可以放在句首,也可以放在句末。如:To save the life of the
injured man, the doctor worked through the night. =The doctor worked through the night
to save the life of the injured man.为了挽救伤者的生命,这名医生整夜工作。
为了使目的更加清楚或表示强调意义还可以用in order to或so as to,其否定形式是在to前加
not。如:I have to write it down in order not to forget.为了不忘记,我不得不把它写了下来。
He shouted and waved so as to be noticed.为了引起注意,他大喊并挥手。
