教学过程
Step 1：Warm-up
1．Greeting.师生用英语互相问候。
2．教师出示课件，播放三年级英语上册所学的关于字母的歌谣，全班一起跟录音唱歌谣，活跃课堂气氛。
Step 2：Preview
Look and say
教师用课件出示一些学生熟悉的卡通人物，如米老鼠、孙悟空等等，学生看图用学过的句型做介绍。如：
Hello, I’m Mickey. I’m from the USA.
Step 3：Presentation
Listen, repeat and chant
1．课件中出示猫的图片，引出单词cat，接着将猫的图片贴在黑板上，板书单词cat，用同样的方法引出单词“bag、dad、hand”几个单词。21教育网
2．跟读单词，并分组让学生找出几个单词的相同之处，引导学生说出这几个单词中的字母a的发音相同，师总结。21cnjy.com
3．小组讨论：找一找还有哪些单词中字母a的发音是/?/？
4．小组汇报交流并总结。
5．教师播放课件，学生看图片，理解句子，紧接着，教师播放listen, repeat and chant的录音，学生学习并跟读。21·cn·jy·com
Step 4：Practice
1．Read, listen and circle
（1）出示课件，学生自己观察各组单词，同桌之间练习读单词。
（2）播放录音，学生边听边圈出所听到的单词。
（3）师生一起核对答案。
2．Listen and write
（1）教师在黑板上示范单词“cat、bag、dad、hand”，边写边讲解书写时应注意的地方。
（2）播放flash，学生跟着书写单词，教师巡视课堂，指导学生书写。
（3）全班一起“书空”拼读单词。
Step 4：Make a summary
1．出示本节课学习的单词，让学生齐读。
2．学生再次吟唱Let’s chant.
Step6：Homework
1．听录音，熟读课本 P 6 Let’s spell的内容。
2．完成本课时配套的练习题。
3．预习P 7。
