Ⅲ.阅读理解
从事志愿者工作的经历
During my teen years, I wasn't an outgoing person at all. I was never interested in volunteering. I just thought it was something people who had a lot of free time did. My view of volunteering changed when I started the university. I heard new friends talk about all the ways they had helped others and, in return, had improved themselves.
I started volunteering when I was 19 years old. As an English major (专业), I volunteered in kindergartens (幼儿园) to teach children English. Later, I realized I wasn't getting anything new out of my volunteer service. I decided to move out of my comfort zone (舒适区). I volunteered at different art festivals and for community service. Theseopportunities helped me to greatly improve my organization and communication skills.
The most important and life-changing volunteering experience for me came in the summer of 2021.It became clear to me that volunteering locally was not enough. It was time for me to try volunteering abroad. I spent a month and a half in Romania teaching English to children from poor families. That experience helped me to improve my teaching skills. It also completely changed me as a person. I met people from all over the world and learned to work together with them. Since then, I have made many international friends. These days, I am always able to do better than my colleagues whenever my job requires cross-cultural communication.

Ⅵ.书面表达
In our daily lives, we usually take part in some labor activities, such as volunteer work and housework. I want to share my experience with you.
Last weekend, our school held an activity. It was to help the elder people in Old People's Home. We got there at about 9 a.m. Then we cleaned their rooms, told funny jokes and sang some songs. From their smiling faces, I found that this activity was so meaningful. From this experience, I realize that doing manual labor not only makes others get pleasure, but also develops our basic skills.
If you want to have a try, please take action from now on.
