Can you tell us your story, Tony?
Could you pass the salt to me?
Could you please clean your room?
请你打扫一下你的房间,好吗?She didn’t do any housework and neither did I. neither作副词,意为“也不”,“Neither +系动词 (助动词或情态动词) +主语”表示前面所述否定内容也适用于另一个人或物。
— I don’t like this dress.
— Neither / Nor do I. —玛丽经常帮她妈妈做家务。
— Mary often helps her mother do
housework.
1.The minute 一… 相当于as soon as
e.g. The minute I called her, she stood up.
2.come over 过来,走过来
I am doing my homework when I mother came over. The minute I sat down in front of the TV, my mom came over.3.As…as 像…
结构:as+原级+as
e.g. The film is as interesting as that one.
4.Not as/so …as 不如…
E.g. He doesn’t study so hard as his brother.
I just as tired as you are。Grammar focusKey sentence structures Could you(please)+ V-
1. Could you please clean your room?
Yes, sure./ Of course./ Certainly./All
right.
2. Could you please do the dishes?
Sorry, I can’t. I have to do my
homework. —Peter, could you please take out the trash?
—Sure, Mom. —Could you please do the dishes?
—Sorry, I can’t. I have to do my
homework. 例: ① Could/Can/May I use your car for a day?
② I wonder if I could use your car for a day?
Of course. (you may/can). 或Go ahead, please. 或That’s OK/all right; 如果不同意,可以说I’m sorry you can’t. 或I’m really sorry, but I have to use it today. 要避免说No, you can’t. ③ Do you mind if I use your car for a day? Never mind. /Not at all. /Sure. /Of course. /Certainly. 所以应答中不说Yes, you could. 或No, you couldn’t. 而要说Yes, you can. 或Sorry. /No, you can’t. —Could I please use your computer?
—Sorry, I’m going to work on it now. —Well, could I watch TV?
—Yes, you can.Could I/you please …? Would you like + sth. / to do sth.?
May I + do sth.?
Shall we + do sth.?
Would you mind + sth. /doing sth.? What / How about + sth. /doing sth.? Sure. /Of course. / Certainly. /OK. /Great. / Well. / Good idea. / I agree. Sorry… / No, you can’t. 等。 Make up dialogues using the sentences in Grammar Focus with your partner.A: Could you please take the dog for a
