Knowing that there was no bank account at all, I felt very surprised. Over the past twenty years, the bank account had made a difference to me, which gave me power and confidence. With a bright smile, Mom said: “It is important for children to feel secure in their childhood.” Stories of the past years jumped into my mind, with tears bursting. It is mother’s white lie that protects us and provides us with a warm and secure feeling.
