For millions of workers around the world, the 1st of May is their day. So in 1884, the Federation of Organized Trades and Labor Unions met in Chicago and had one major demand: an eight-hour workday.
And on May 1, 1886, over 300,000 American workers went on strike. Three days later, thousands of strikers met in Haymarket Square, where a riot broke out between cops and workers. A bomb was thrown into the crowd, killing several people. It was called the Haymarket Massacre.
And today, May 1 is known as International Workers' Day. While every country's workers have a different history behind May Day, they all commemorate those who have and continue to give their lives for workers' justice.

句中谓语动词为saw,“看见”,原形是see,常用于see sb. do sth.“看见某人做某事”,用省略to的不定式作宾补。故选A。
will将;would是will的过去式;wouldn't是would not的缩写。
故选A。

根据短文开头“I was a teacher at a kindergarten three years ago”可知,短文记叙的是三年前的事情,应用过去时态。
out出去;in在…… 根据上文“Then I saw him …into a little girl and she fell down.”
and和,而且;though尽管;but但是。根据句意可知,空前“The little girl looked surprised”与空后“… she still stood up and said”为转折的关系,故选C。
How多么;怎样;What什么;What a多么……
