Why 通过阅读对达人秀节目观点的报道类文章,尝试发表自己的看法,激发学生的英语学习兴趣,在语言学习中发展逻辑思维、辩证思维和创新思维,使学生懂得辩证地看待问题,明白要把喜爱的事情做到极致,每个人都是“达人”的道理。
How 阅读文章简要介绍了达人秀的起源、基本特点、受人喜欢的原因以及它引起人们争议等几个方面。
教学目标 通过本课时的学习学生能够: (学习理解) 能够在课文阅读中初步感知和理解本课所出现词语的意义:winner、prize、have … in common、be up to、play a role、all kinds of等;能掌握这些词语的运用;学生能够强化最高级的表达及运用。 (应用实践) 能够在教师的引导和协助下,围绕相应的主题,了解达人秀的起源、基本特点、受人喜欢的原因以及引起争议的原因。 3、(迁移创新) 对语篇学习辩证地看待事物,提高思维的逻辑性、批判性。能够通过有关达人秀的文章,保持英语学习兴趣、学习能力测试、略读、寻读等阅读策略的感悟、体验和学习,增强阅读理能力。并让学生懂得辩证地看待问题,明白要把喜爱的事情做到极致,每个人都是“达人”的道理。
教学重点 掌握本课文中所涉及到的新词汇和表达;正确熟练运用形容词及副词的最高级进行比较;利用预测、略读、寻读等阅读策略的训练。
教学难点 明确报道类文章的结构,发表自己对达人秀类节目的看法并辩证地看待事物。
学情分析 本课时涉及的“达人秀”话题贴近学生的真实生活,趣味性强,容易激发学生的学习兴趣。在前面的学习中,学生已就“才艺表演”中最具特色的人和物进学情分析 行过探讨,也掌握了一些描述性形容词以及其最高级的用法,这都为本课的学习奠定了良好的基础。对于“达人秀”现象,一些图片和视频资料的引入是必要的,同时,教师需注意通过问题的巧妙设计引导学生辩证地看待问题。

Step1. Warm up Step2. Free-talk The teacher plays a piece of video of China's Got Talent and asks some questions. Let Ss have a free talk about the most talented people in class. 1.Ss watch the video and know the most talented dancer in China. 2.Ss talk about the most talented people in class. Using videos is an easy way to arouse the curiosity,and students will be interested in finding and solving issues by themselves. It is important to from a better English learning surrounding for the students by free talking with them. Besides it provides a situation to lead to the subject of this lesson.
While-reading(20mins)
Step3. Read for main idea The teacher shows how to find the topic sentence of each paragraph. Ss read the passage quickly and find out the topic sentence of each paragraph. The reading skill skimming is useful to help students to understand what they are reading.
Step4. Detailed- reading Let Ss read Paragraph 1 Ask Ss to read Paragraph2. Let Ss read Paragraph 3. 1.Ss read Paragraph 1and circle three talent shows it mentioned. Then Ss dress up as the directors of the three shows and make some rules for the shows . 2. Ss Read Paragraph 2 and answer the questions. Ss try to find out the rules in the passage. 3.Ss read Paragraph 3 and find out the reasons for two different opinions about talent shows. Task-based language teaching method communicative language teaching method are used here to break through the difficult point well. Scanning and Intensive Reading can help Ss understand the passage better
Post-reading(15mins)
Step5. Do a report Step6. Elevate emotion The teacher analyses the structure of the article and ask Ss to give a report on ”The Voice of School”. The teacher guide Students to complete emotional sublimation. Ss work in groups and each group chooses one person to read. Discuss in groups and talk about a report on ”The Voice of School”. Ss listen and follow the teacher. It is an extension of this lesson, and the moral education is to achieve the emotion aims of this lesson. Students will be able to learn well that everyone can have a dream .He or she should try their best to make it come true.
Homework Write a passage: Write a passage to describe a talented person This step is to consolidate the language students have in this lesson. In addition, it will be helpful to use the new knowledge in a real situation.
