在句型I suppose (that) ...中,suppose与think, believe等动词的用法一样,若从句为否定句,应该否定前移。
e.g. I don’t suppose I’ll trouble you again.
我想我不会再麻烦你了。
suppose, guess, imagine均可表示“猜想”。其区别是:
imagine指没有事实根据, 仅凭主观想象进行猜想;
guess指未经认真思索而进行猜想, 有时指不着边际地瞎猜;
suppose指依据某些事实进行探索性的推测。
