Li Ziyao, a young Chinese student studying in Boston, the US, recently completed Black Myth: Wukong, a game playing based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West.
Li Ziyao was excited that this game, rich in traditional cultural elements, has become very popular in America too. Seeing his American classmates discussing the Monkey King, the architectural styles, and Chinese history, he felt a strong sense of pride.
The cultural elements carried by Black Myth: Wukong are also reflected in its music. The game includes traditional Chinese melodies from the 1986 hit TV series Journey to the West soundtrack, including Celestial Symphony in key scenes. With the international success of Celestial Symphony, Li has noticed that many of his classmates have expressed their desire to learn traditional Chinese musical instruments, especially pipa, which shows unique Chinese beauty.
“Culture plays an extremely important role in inspiring national spirit as well as personal development. I am witnessing first-hand how Chinese culture is being spread and understood globally in a novel and modern way, ” Li told the Global Times.
China's achievements over the past 75 years are closely tied to its thousand—year culture and cultural confidence. Generations of young people with strong values and ethics like Li Ziyao work to develop Chinese culture and present it to the world. They wear Hanfu—traditional Chinese dress, or playing pipa to express cultural confidence.
In ancient times, Chinese ancestors sailed the seas along the historical Maritime (海上的) Silk Road, spreading Chinese culture toward the rest of the world. Today, young people, especially Generation Z, are using unique ways to share Chinese culture with the world.

Are you preparing for a big test If so, you may want to play some basketball in between hitting the books. Doctors are starting to find more and more information that suggests a connection between exercise and brain development. Judy Cameron, a scientist at Oregon Health and Science University, studies brain development. According to her research, it seems that exercise can make blood vessels (血管) , including those in the brain, stronger and more fully developed. Dr Cameron claims this allows people who exercise to concentrate better. She says, “While we already know that exercise is good for the heart, exercise can really cause physical changes in the brain. ”
The effects of exercise on brain development can even be seen in babies. Babies who do activities that require a lot of movement and physical activity show greater brain development than babies who are less physically active. With babies, even a little movement can show big results.
Older people can beef up their brain as well. Scientists from 11 universities studied a group of seniors aged from 70 to 79. Their study showed a short-term memory increase of up to 40 percent after exercising just three hours a week. The exercise does not have to be very difficult, but it does have to increase the heart rate. Also, just like the motion for babies, exercise for seniors should involve some complexity (复杂) . Learning some new skills or motions, such as with yoga or Tai Ji, helps open up memory paths in the brain that may not have been used for a long time.
For most people, any type of physical activity that increases the heart rate is helpful. The main goal is to increase the brain's flow of blood. And your brain can benefit from as little as three hours of exercise a week.
23. What do we know from paragraph 1
A. The brain needs special mental exercise. B. The more exercise, the bigger the brain.

A. Organise. B. Improve. C. Relax. D. Rescue.
25. How can 3 hours of proper exercise a week help
A. Lengthen the age from 70 to 79. B. Increase the heart rate of babies.
C. Benefit seniors’ short-term memory. D. Open up memory paths for students.
26. What is the purpose of the text
A. To offer advice on how to do exercise. B. To introduce ways to change the brain.
C. To give tips on how to raise test scores. D. To encourage exercise for brain benefit.

Plain water is the only thing visitors are allowed to have inside the huge cave at Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico. Cheetos (膨化食品) are a no-go, and the recent park visitor who dropped a bag full of them created a “huge influence” on the cave's ecosystem, the park said Friday in a Facebook post.
“In people's opinion, a dropped snack bag may not seem important, but to the life of the cave, it can be world changing, ” the park said in its post about the rubbish found in the cave. “For example, the corn snacks, later softened by the watery air of the cave, formed the perfect environment for fungi and life unseen with human eyes. Spiders, flies and other cave life soon make up a temporary food web, spreading the nutrients (营养物) to the other areas of the cave. Then molds (霉菌) spread up the nearby surfaces and there are terrible smell in the whole cave. And the cycle continues. ”
The park said the guards spent 20 minutes carefully removing molds and foreign rubbish from surfaces inside the cave, adding that while some members of the ecosystem that rose from the snacks were “cave-men”, “many of the molds and life unseen with human eyes are not. ” The post considered such bad influence on the cave “completely avoidable”.
“Eating and drinking anything other than plain water attracts animals into the cave. No matter it is great or small, we all leave an influence wherever we go. Let us all leave the world a better place than we found it, ” the post called on park goers.
After the post about the Cheetos bag, the park put up this post about the “leave no trace” rule of dealing with rubbish properly. “The cave is NOT a big rubbish can, ” the post said, “It can bear no more than plain water actually”. Visitors are asked to make sure they don't leave rubbish in the cave.
