Students will be able to enhance their cooperation and communication skills through pair work and group activities. 二、Teaching Key Points 1. Master the vocabulary of feelings and illnesses. 2. Understand and use the target language to describe feelings and health conditions. 三、Teaching Difficult Points 1. The understanding and usage of the new words and phrases, especially "headache", "stomachache", and the compound words. 2. How to have a smooth and correct conversation at the doctor's office. 四、Teaching Methods 1. Task-based Language Teaching Method: Design various tasks to help students master the language points. 2. Communicative Approach: Encourage students to communicate with each other to improve their language skills. 3. Situational Teaching Method: Create real-life situations to make the learning more vivid and interesting. 五、Teaching Procedure Step 1: Warming-up (5 minutes) 1. Greet the students and have a free talk with them. Ask some questions like: "How are you today " "Did you have a good weekend " 2. Play a short video about different people's feelings and ask students to guess the feelings shown in the video. Step 2: Presentation (10 minutes) 1. Show the pictures of different feelings on the PPT and ask students to label them with the corresponding feeling words. For example, show a picture of a person looking exhausted and ask students to say "tired". 2. Present the new words "headache", "stomachache" and explain their meanings by breaking them into "head + ache" and "stomach + ache". 3. Ask students to make sentences with the new words. Step 3: Reading (10 minutes) 1. Have students read the conversation between Dr Lin and Danny silently. 2. Ask some comprehension questions: How does Danny feel Why can't Danny play basketball today What does Dr Lin advise Danny to do 3. Have students tick the correct answers and check the answers together. Step 4: Language Learning (5 minutes) 1. Present the learning tips about the formation of compound words like "headache" and "stomachache". 2. Encourage students to think of more similar words and share them with the class. Step 5: Practice (10 minutes) 1. Have students read and complete the conversation between Dr Li and Sam. 2. Invite some pairs of students to act out the conversation. 3. Ask students to work in pairs and make a dialogue at the doctor's office. Provide useful expressions on the PPT. Walk around the classroom and offer help when needed. Step 6: Production (3 minutes) 1. Invite several pairs of students to come to the front and act out their dialogues. 2. Encourage other students to listen carefully and give comments. Step 7: Summary and Homework (2 minutes) 1. Summarize the key points of this lesson, including the vocabulary and the target language. 2.
