The lucky number has become increasingly (逐渐地) popular in the daily life of our modern society. For example, the number “eight” means earning big money which people like most, while the number “four” means death.
Some people believe lucky numbers so deeply that they will pay money for a telephone with numbers without four and others, which is bad in their mind. They argue that the lucky number really can bring good luck, and, at least, no evidence (证据) testifies (证实) they can not. Yet other people don’t think so. They argue that numbers are nothing but a kind of symbol used for counting. Numbers have nothing to do with luck. It is superstitious to connect one’s life with the numbers. So, they laugh at those who think numbers can bring good luck.
I am in favor of (赞同) the latter opinion. We shouldn’t depend on numbers to fulfill (实现) our wishes. Whether we can live a rich life largely depends on ourselves. Our life is in our own hands. So we should work hard instead of
depending on lucky numbers to bring us a happy life.

Reflection
整节课达到预期的教学目标,但有些做法可以更加完善,反思如下:
1.本想通过复习数字导入课文,但学生的语言基础太差,竟然生日的年份表达都不清晰。导致时间多花了一点。
2.通过小组讨论找出课文的语言点时学生积极性高,主要是课文的第二课时,是之前铺垫得充分,所以学生能灵活地复述所学内容。
3.由于是两节英语连堂,最后那些练习反馈留在第二节,所以显得公开课环节不够完整,但个人认为这是真实的课堂。
总之,如果时间调控稍微紧凑会更加完善。
