(1) So am I是倒装句。
“So + be 动词/助动词/情态动词+主语”表示前者的肯定情况也同样适用于后者,意为“……也一样”。
e.g. Li Lei likes sports. So do I.
李磊喜欢运动,我也一样。
Mary can ride a horse. So can I.
Mary会骑马,我也一样。

“Neither/Nor +be动词/助动词/情态动词+主语”也是倒装
句,表示前者的否定情况也同样适用于后者,意为“……
也不……”。
e.g. My sister isn’t interested in shopping. Neither was I.
我妹妹对购物不感兴趣,我也是。
I don’t want to lose, and neither does he.
我不想输,他也不想。
(2) miss v. 未出席,未出现
e.g. I’ve missed school three days because of the bad cold.
我已经因为重感冒缺了3天课了。
vt. & vi. 未击中;未达到;未赶上
If Miss Lee doen’t hurry up, she’ll miss the train.
李小姐要是不赶紧的话,就会赶不上火车的。
vi. 惦念;怀念;想念
I miss my family so much, especially during festivals.

simple adj. 简单的;容易的
e.g. I cooked myself a simple breakfast.

比较级和最高级形式为:simpler, simplest
simply adv. 简单地;仅仅
e.g. The book explains grammar simply and clearly.

2. I can cook simple meals. 我能做简单的饭菜。
simple, easy都可以表示“做某事或理解某事没有太大困难”。区别在于:
simple指不复杂, 侧重于思想或事物的本质,强调简洁明了;
e.g. Give the necessary information but keep it simple.
说说基本情况,简单一点。
Easy指容易, 不费劲,侧重于行为的难易程度。
e.g. It is very easy to do this thing.
做这件事非常容易。

3. There won’t be anybody to wake you up in the morning.
早上也没人叫你起床了。
anybody pron. 任何人 (常用于否定句或疑问句中)
当用于肯定句中时, 相当于any person。
e.g. Keep it between you and me, don’t tell anybody else.
保密,不要和其他任何人说。

此类复合不定代词由every/some/any/no + -one/-body/-thing
构成。使用时应注意:
something/someone/somebody一般用于肯定句中;anything/anyone/anybody一般用于否定句及疑问句中。
当形容词或不定式修饰复合不定代词时,位于复合不定代词的后面。
复合不定代词作主语时,谓语动词用单数形式。
4. My clock rings so loudly that it will certainly wake me up.
我的闹钟很响,肯定能把我叫醒。

e.g. Listen! The telephone is ringing.
听!电话铃响了。
I’ll ring you up as soon as I arrive at the airport.

(2) so loudly that 是“so + 形容词/副词 + that + 从句”的结构。so … that 意思是“如此…以至于…”
e.g. This movie is so interesting that I want to watch it again.
这个电影如此有趣,我想再看一次。
He spoke so quickly that I couldn't follow him.
他说得如此快以至我跟不上他。
(3) wake up 醒;醒来 (“动词+副词”短语)
e.g. The alarm clock wakes me up in the morning.
闹钟每天早上叫我起床。
I will wake up my parents/wake my parents up tomorrow.
我明早会喊我父母起床。
若wake up的宾语是名词,则该宾语可置于up的前面或后面;如果宾语是代词,则该宾语必须放在wake和up的中间。
5. Your train is about to leave.
您的火车要开了。
be about to do sth. 就要/正要…… 由于be about to do sth.本身已含有“即将”这样的时间概念,所以它习惯上不再与 soon, at once, immediately, tomorrow 这样的具体时间状语连用。
e.g. He met her as she was about to go away.
她刚要走时,他遇见她了。

a couple (of) 一对,一双;一些,几个
e.g. I've only been here for a couple of weeks.

【辨析】
couple 多指在一起或彼此有关系的两个人或两个同样的事物
pair 含义广泛, 指人或物, 用于物时, 指两个互属的事物, 缺失彼此都会失去价值, 或指由相对称的两部分构成的一件东西
e.g. I found a couple of socks in the bedroom but they don’t make a pair.
我在卧室找到两只袜子,可它们不是一双。

“I haven’t given you our address in Lhasa!” This means you do not know where we are staying / what we are doing.
