What do mothers think of housework Let’s read the following ideas.
Laura We don’t like housework, but at the same time, we hope to have a clean and comfortable home. I learn from my neighbor Teresa that you don’t have to do everything right away, but “do small things with great love.” Start with the easy ones, rest, and then go on with the others. It becomes less tiring but much more interesting when you divide (分成) things into smaller parts.
Mona Do you know what you should call those who use towels but never wash them, eat meals but never do the dishes, sit in rooms they never clean, and are always happy until they fall down If your answer is, 'A house guest', you're wrong, because I just described my kids.
Mary My kids seem to learn to use the computer and turn on the TV quickly. However they have difficulty in using the vacuum cleaner (吸尘器). It is really amazing.

When www.amazon.com began to develop online shopping in 1995, it became the pioneer (先驱) of online shopping. At that time analysts (分析家) thought that people would just sit all day at home and just order things on their computers. Now, those people that are comfortably shopping online are growing in number. That is good news for online businesses.
However, there is also bad news. Some people that didn’t shop online before don’t want to start doing it. This makes it harder for online shops to develop their business. For these people, a trip to a shopping center is, and will be in the future, a way to spend their free time or weekends. Another reason is that many people worry about shopping online. Sometimes they don’t know whether the product is good or not. If the new technology is developed further, people will be able to learn more about the product they want to buy — for example, by touching it or trying it on before they buy it. In this way, they will trust online shops more. However, nobody knows when these ideas will become real.
“Online shopping is very convenient,” an analyst said, “but for most people there are more things in a real store.”
( )61. When did www.amazon.com begin to develop online shopping
A. In 1885. B. In 1895. C. In 1990. D. In 1995.
( )62. What is good news for online businesses
A. Scientists helped them a lot.
B. More and more people like shopping online.
C. Many people can use computers very well.
D. People know how to run business very well.
( )63. The underlined word, “product” means “_________” in Chinese.
A. 利润 B. 服务 C. 态度 D. 产品
( )64. Why do some people still like shopping in real stores
A. It isn’t fun to shop online.
B. They don’t trust online products.
C. It’s not easy to surf the Internet.
D. They don’t like online products.
( )65. What is the best title for this passage
A. The Situation of Online Shopping
B. The Reasons that People Shop Online
C. The Story about Online Shopping

One day, I got a call from a man named David. “I want to help an old man. He just is ill. Can I pay for it without letting him know ” He asked. David was a very kind man. He called us because he was worried about his neighbor, Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith just came back from the hospital. His house was in a mess, but he couldn’t do any housework. He didn’t tell his children. David wanted to help Mr. Smith without bringing him any stress. And then we asked David what would happen if Mr. Smith would refuse to let us come into his house. “I have to at least try. I really want to help him,” he said.
Luckily, Mr. Smith let us in and our workers did a good job. Since we promised David not to tell Mr. Smith his name, we didn’t tell too much to Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith was touched by the gift from someone he didn’t know.
Sometimes we don’t expect to depend on others, because we are afraid of letting them get into trouble. However, there is always someone who cares for you and tries his best to help you.

So we should learn to do housework now. Secondly, doing housework is a kind of exercise. It helps us stay healthy and strong. Finally, doing housework helps share our parents’ work. They must be very happy if we tell them to have a rest.
So I think it’s good for students to do housework.
