命题点一 不定冠词
知识必备 不定冠词a和an与数词one 同源,是“一个”的意思。a用于
辅音音素开头的单词前,而an则用于元音音素开头的单词前。
用法 示例
用于第一次提到的人或物的
名称前 A man came out of the house.
用来指一类人或物中的任何
一个,相当于any Be sure to bring me a dictionary.
表示数量,相当于one I have a mouth, a nose and two eyes.
用于表示时间、速度、价格
等意义的可数名词单数前,
表示“每一”的意思,相当
于every We work five days a week.
用法 示例
指某人或某物,但没具体指
明是哪个人或物 A man is waiting for you at the gate.
表示类别,泛指某一类人或物 An elephant is bigger than a tiger.
和序数词连用,表示“再一

用法 示例
注意:如果由and连接的两个名词所指的是同一人或物,通常只在第一个名词前加冠词;如果所指的是两个不同的人或物,通常这两个名词前都需加冠词。如: She is a dancer and singer.她是一名舞蹈家兼歌唱家。(同一人) A boy and a girl entered together.一个男孩和一个女孩一起走进来。(两个人)
命题点二 定冠词
知识必备 定冠词the与指示代词this和that同源,有“那(这)
个”的意思,但语气较弱,可以和名词连用,表示某个或某些特定
的人或物。
1. 定冠词的用法

特指之前提及过的或谈话双方都知道的某个或某些人或物 He bought a house. I’ve been to the
house.
用于由限制性定语所修饰的名词前,指一类人或物中特定的人或物 The girl standing next to me is my
sister.
用法 示例
表示世界上独一无二的事物 the sun, the sky, the world, the
earth
用在单数可数名词前,表示某一类人或物 The dolphin is an intelligent animal.
用在序数词及形容词或副词的最高级之前 He is the tallest student in our class.
用在江河、海洋、湖泊、山脉、群岛的名称前 the Yangtze River, the Pacific Ocean
用法 示例
用在由普通名词构成的一些表示
国家名称、机构、机关团体、阶
级、文娱场所、商店、设施等的
