在本诗中,我们读到大量的When…, I should be allowed to …和I…语句,我们耳畔不停想起“I”音和“s(z)”音。这些语句结构和语音特点衬托出诗歌的复现性特征,加之各行自身的语句重音,体现了节奏感,弥补了失缺韵脚的不足。
在书写上,英文诗歌并非完全以句断行,这在有韵脚诗文中更为突出。无论一行结句与否,移行后另行首字母均应大写。

①tiny (very small in size or amount)形容词,意为“极小的;微小的”。

② cry 此处用作不及物动词,意为“哭;叫喊”。
例:Don’t cry. Everything will be okay.

cry可用作名词,意为“叫喊;大喊;哭”。

(1)hug( an act of putting your arms around sb. and holding them tightly)此处作名词和动词,意为“拥抱;搂抱”。
give sb. a hug 意为“拥抱某人”。
