Teaching Plan
Analysis of teaching material
The theme of the dialogue is that four friends talk about sports. They have different opinions on sports, they like different kinds of sports, so they compare the sports, and used the comparatives of adjectives and adverbs. I use the pictures to teach the new words and comparatives to prepare for the listening. After listening, I want the students to talk about their opinions on sports, use the comparatives.
Analysis of students
Students have learned the comparatives of the adjectives with single syllable, and they are familiar with the sentence structure "A is ~er than B", so now we should pay more attention to the differences between one and more syllables. Most students are interested in sports, so they may willing to talk about and compare sports.

Knowledge aims
All the students master the words and expressions about sports;
Most students master the structures : Nothing is more enjoyable than playing tennis. Staying at home was easier than going to the stadium.
Ability aims
Nearly all the students can understand the dialogue which contains the comparatives;
Most students can express their opinions on sports with comparatives.

To help to cultivate their interest in sports and let them know the importance of doing sports.

Step 1 Speaking
Ask students to chant the comparatives they have learnt
Lead them to learn the new words with pictures, and try to compare the sports with the new structure.
3. Lead them to talk about sports, show their different opinions.
4. Arouse the main idea of this class.
Step 2 Listening
1. Ask students to read the question statements to predict the main information about the first short dialogue.
2. Mention some other forms of sports people often do.
3. Play the second main dialogue and ask them to do four judgements and say the cause and reason.
Step 3 Reading
Have Ss read the conversation and find out which do they like better and why.
2. Have them read in groups of three and role-play the dialogue.
Step 4 Speaking
Discuss some questions about sports then show them a sample passage.
2. Have students work individually for a speech, or in groups for a report.
3. Ask the whole class to report their work.
Step 5 Homework
1. Exercise Book 1 and 2 M3U1 .
2. Read the dialogue after the tape and imitate
3. Make a dialogue like Activity 7 and act it out
教学反思
本节课的教学效果从学生的课堂成果展示以及课后作业的完成情况来看,大部分学生都掌握了本节课知识目标,即多音节形容词的比较级,但在具体运用方面还存在一些问题,需要在今后的学习中加强操练。在整节课的课堂气氛及表现方面,本人认为不太理想,没有充分调动学生的学习热情。通过课后反思我发现本节课的教学设计不够新颖,有些活动拘泥于形式,所给的条条框框过多,使得学生在表达时不能完全施展开手脚,畅所欲言。在今后的教学工作中我还需要虚心学习,积极思考,努力让自己的课变得生动有趣,让学生学习知识的过程变得轻松愉快。
