Unit 1 While the lights were changing to red,
a car suddenly appeared.
Analysis of materials
The lesson spreads around accidents which students are familiar to. Students will continue to learn past continuous. In this lesson, students learn about not only knowledge of language, but also knowledge of traffic safety.
II. Analysis of students
Students are teenagers who have the advantage of desiring for competition. On the other hand, they will not respond well to an activity above their intellectual level. Therefore, the activities should be within their abilities and developmental stage. Meanwhile, sufficiently stimulate them to feel satisfied with their work.
III. Teaching Aims
Knowledge Aims:
1) Students will be able to master the key words & phrases: hit, fall off, corner, pay attention to, appear, side by side.
2) Students can understand and use the past continuous with adverbial clauses (while).
Ability Aims:
Students can be able to get key information from listening materials involving accidents.
Students will be able to talk about accidents under the guidance of the teacher.
Emotional Aims:
Students will develop the consciousness of keeping safe..
