Unit 1 While the lights were changing to red,
a car suddently appeared.
Content Analysis:
This unit talks about a traffic accident, it includes the time , place, the people, the reason. From this unit, students will learn to talk about what was happening at a specific time. And they will also know the importance of obeying the traffic rules. Students Analysis:
Students in Grade 8 have some basic skills of listening,speaking,reading and writing, they care about traffic rules so they must be interested in this topic.
Teaching Aims:
Knowledge Aims:
1) New words: pale, appear, hit, fall off, in time, risk, pay attention to, side by side,
2) Key structures: past continuous with adverbial clauses( when, while)
Ability Aims:
1) Students can be able tounderstand a dialogue about an accident through listening.
2) Students can be able talk about an traffic accident in pairs.
Moral Aims:
Students can understand the importance of obeying the traffic rules and share this thought with their family.
