学习目标:
1.知识目标:
1)掌握下列重点单词和短语的意思及用法: climb, hide, throw, fridge, pain, worse, medicine ,take a photo, climb out of, pick up
2)掌握句式
I was trying to pick it up when it bit me again.
While the snake was lying on the table, Henry quickly picked up his mobile phone and took a photo with it.
When Henry was trying to find the snake, his hand began to hurt badly.
2. 能力目标:
1)能够根据图片预测下文,理解作者通过故事所要传达的信息,理解故事发生的顺序。
2) 提高提取信息、仿写片段的能力,能写出如何使用科技产品,如手机、数码相机等救人或处理突发事件的小故事。
3.情感目标:能迅速沉着、冷静地处理突发事件,提高自我防护意识。
教学重难点:
重点: 用过去进行时描述在特定时间内正在发生的事情。
难点:阅读中不同阅读方法的灵活使用。
教学过程
一、复习检测
检查词汇:小组检测单词、短语的预习和记忆情况,目的是培养学生的朗读习惯,同时巩固预习效果。
二、情景导入:
Play a game: I say and you guess
T: I usually listen to music with it; sometimes I play games with it. I often call others with it
Let Ss guess: what’s in my pocket
Let Ss talk about what other things they can do with a mobile phone in pairs. 〔设计说明〕
本活动旨在通过让学生说出尽可能多的手机用途,锻炼学生的发散性思维,同时导入本单元话题,营造宽松和活跃的课堂气氛。
三、Reading time
(一)Pre-reading
Show the picture of the passage and let the students talk about something about it

2. Can you guess what is happening 〔设计说明〕
通过观察图片培养学生的联想、预测和表达能力,激发学生的求知欲和好奇心,为下一步阅读策略的教学做了很好的铺垫。
(二)while-reading:
Step1:Fast reading (这一步是为掌握文章大意而进行的阅读,要求学生读后概括回答问题。)(温馨提示:阅读时不能从头到尾、一字不漏地读下去,而是采用跳跃式的默读方法,搜寻相关信息,并对文章的内容有一个总体的了解) Read the passage quietly and silently and then answer:
1) What happened to Henry one day
2)What saved his life
Step2. Careful reading
(温馨提示:先阅读问题, 然后再快速浏览全文,在最短的时间内找出问题的答案。)
1. Check the true sentences. (先自主完成,后小组讨论) 〔设计说明〕
本活动属于训练学生运用不同的阅读策略,有目的阅读文章,正确回答问题。旨在培养学生的逻辑推理能力。
2. Read paragraph3、4 and 5 then choose
3.Read paragraph 6 and 7 then choose (自主完成然后小组合作)
4.Put the sentences in the right order: (先自主完成,后小组讨论)

本活动主要帮助学生理清故事发生的先后顺序,进一步体会过去进行时的用法。
(三)、Post-reading:
Complete the passage with the correct form of the words in the box. (Do activity 4)

四、Retell the story
Let Ss retell the story according to the pictures in pairs.(Show the pictures about the story to help the students ) 〔设计说明〕
通过为学生展示故事发展过程图片,为学生提供视觉上的帮助,使得故事更形象生动,也有效激发了学生的学习兴趣。
五、Summary
Let Ss talk about what they have learnt in class.
