学习内容简析 本课主要谈论由于造纸术和印刷术的发明以及互联网的应用给人们生活带来的影响,引导学生注意被动语态的运用以及用as a result, so, because 表达结果和理由。学生客运阅读之后模仿写作,介绍对人们生活有重大影响的发明。
学情分析 写作是九年级学生英语学习中的重点,同时也是难点。经过初中两年的学习,学生已经积累了大量的词汇和句型等基础知识,但把他们组织起来写成一篇结构合理,语法正确的短文,对于大部分学生来说,仍然是很大的挑战。所以,教学中采用读写结合,以读促写的方式,使学生通过阅读获取信息,在吸收信息的基础上转述信息,从而进行创造性写作。
教学目标 1. Learn and practice the vocabulary for giving reasons and results: because, so, as a result;2. Learn and practice reading and writing skills: (1) scan for main idea of each paragraph, skim for details; (2) write a passage about great inventions;3. Learn to be creative by talking about great inventions.
教学重、难点 How to write a passage about great inventions with passive voice, correct tenses and sentence structures.

Step 2Reading (16 min) 1. Let Ss to divide the passage into 3 parts. (Min: 3)2. Ask students to read the second part of the passage again carefully and answer the questions. (Min: 5 )3. Ask Ss to read and complete the short passage. (Min:5) 1. Read the passage and divide.2. Read again and write down the answers on the handout. 3. Complete the short passage and discuss the answers in groups. 4. Read the passage and pay attention to sentences with as a result, so, because loudly, notice how to give reasons and results. 1.培养学生的快速阅读能力,掌握段落大意,同时能对文章进行结构划分,为写作做铺垫。2.培养学生仔细阅读,熟悉并获取课文的细节信息的能力,并体会运用表达理由和结论的结构。3. 通过做补全短文活动,让学生巩固对课文的理解,同时为后面的写作提供可模仿的范本。 讲解如何快速审题,指导skimming,scanning阅读技巧的应用。
