解题指要
中考的句型转换题主要考查学生对句子结构的构成、变化等方面知识的掌握情况。此类考题首先给出一个完整的句子,再给出一个含有几个空白处的句子,让考生根据不同的要求填入适当的词来完成句型转换。在复习中我们可以紧扣七种考查形式复习:①对画线部分提问;②陈述句改为否定句;③陈述句改为一般疑问句;④陈述句改为感叹句;⑤主动语态改为被动语态;⑥变为复合句类(注意人称、时态一致、时间状语变化、连接词等的变化);⑦同义句(保持句意基本不变)等。
作答句型转换题时,应注意的几个问题:一是要看清题意,分析句子结构,弄清原句的句型和意思以及判别改写后的句子是什么句型,再按句子要求变换句型;二是要注意时态,在直接引语改为间接引语,简单句改为复合句的句型变化中就涉及时态的变化;三是不改变句意和句子的成分(原句的句子成分在改变句型时仍不可缺少,否则句子不完整,但有一个例外,在陈述句改为感叹句时,要增加句子成分,感叹词 what和 how分别为按句子要求而增加的定语或状语,句子其他成分不变);最后要反复推敲,确保无误(改变后要看看意思是否与要求相符,有没有语法和习惯用法方面的错误)。
我们根据句型转换常考的几种类别,帮助考生归纳如下:
对画线部分提问类
对画线部分提问是根据画线的内容提出一个特殊疑问句,即“特殊疑问词+一般疑问句”构成。
1. 如画线部分是定语,它所修饰的词要跟随特殊疑问词移至句前。
2. 画线部分如是谓语动词,应该用助动词的形式来取代。
3. 常见疑问词(组): what, what+名词(如 what colour, what grade等), when, why, where, who( whom), which, whose, how, how+形容词/副词(如 how long, how far, how often, how soon等)。要注意以上各种疑问词(组)的用法。例如:
He is powerful and energetic. (对画线部分提问)

二 改为否定句、一般疑问句类
1. 变为一般疑问句时,系动词 be、助动词或情态动词置于主语之前。例如:
I took the boy to hospital yesterday.(改为一般疑问句)
Did you take the boy to hospital yesterday
2. 变为否定句时,系动词、助动词或情态动词后加 not。
3. 注意:如果肯定句中含有 some, and, already, too/ also, both ... and ..., everything/ everyone/ everybody, always等词(组),要相应变为 any, or, yet, either, neither... nor... , nothing/ nobody, never等。
4. 一些特殊结构,变否定句时,在动词(词组)后直接加 not。如: ask sb.( not) to do sth., will you please( not) do sth., had better( not) do sth., try( not) to do sth., decide ( not) to do sth.等。
三 改为感叹句类
运用感叹句的两种句式进行转换。
感叹句的两种句式可进行相互转换,但必须把握其句型。
1. How+ adj./ adv.+主语+系动词/谓语!
2. What+a/ an+ adj.+单数名词+主语+系动词/谓语!
What+ adj.+复数名词/不可数名词+主语+系动词/谓语!
例如: The suggestion he gave us is very useful. (改为感叹句)
What a useful suggestion he gave us!
四 改为被动语态类
通过改变主语,主动语态与被动语态之间可进行同义句转换。在转换过程中,掌握被动语态的构成是最为关键的。学习被动语态应与时态紧密结合,根据时态,来确定被动语态的谓语部分。另外,还需充分把握含有情态动词的被动语态的结构,即“情态动词+ be+及物动词的过去分词”。
例如:
I lent Amy my radio yesterday.(改为被动语态)
My radio was lent to Amy yesterday.
五 改为反意疑问句类
反意疑问句的前半句为陈述句,后半句为简短的一般疑问句,在改写当中,要注意:
1. 前肯后否,前否后肯;
2. 人称、时态和数要保持一致;
3. 各种祈使句,反意疑问句的后半句都用“will you”,但 Let's ...句用“shall we”;
4. 注意一些特殊词,如 little, few, no, nothing, never 等出现时,前半句表示否定的概念,后半句应用肯定形式。
例如:
Sandy could speak little French. (改为反意疑问句)
Sandy could speak little French, could she
六 变为复合句类
两个句子合并为宾语从句时:一是找引导词。宾语从句的引导词有三种情况:①宾语从句为肯定句意义时(为陈述句结构),引导词为 that;②当宾语从句表示一般疑问意义的时候(即为一般疑问结构),引导词为 if/ whether;③当宾语从句表示特殊疑问意义的时候(即为特殊疑问结构),引导词为原来的特殊疑问词。二是变陈述句。无论是由哪一种引导词引导的宾语从句,宾语从句都应使用陈述语序。三是主从一致。它是针对主句是一般过去时,宾语从句应用相应的某种过去时态而言的。但是如果从句表示客观真理,从句时态不受主句时态的影响,用一般现在时即可。
例如:
How many students are there in the hall No one knows.(合并句子)
No one knows how many students there are in the hall.
七 同义句类
同义句转换题(有的地区用“保持句意不变”的叫法)近几年被全国各地中考英语试题广泛采用,为必考题型之一。它要求依据给出的句子,通过词、词组、句式和语法的改变以及换句来改写句子,但要求转换前后的句意应保持一致。日常学习过程中,必须加强对同义句转换的总结训练,注意转换的思路和方法,提高同义句转换的能力。同义句替换,命题者设题的角度通常有以下几个:
1. 运用同义词或同义词组替换原句的有关部分
将原句中的某些词或词组,用其同义词或同义词组进行替换改变,这是同义句转换使用最多的类型。在英语新教材中,同义词或词组的运用非常广泛,学习过程中要尽可能多地去归纳总结,以达到熟能生巧,举一反三的效果。例如:
My brother often goes to school on foot.(同义句转换)
My brother often walks to school.
2. 运用复合句和不定式进行相互改写
此类复合句主要是宾语从句和结果状语从句,宾语从句改为不定式的句式有:①hope/ wish, be sure, tell等后跟 that引导的从句,可转换为不定式;②特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句,也可转换为“特殊疑问词+ to do”结构,构成不定式短语。“so ... that ...”引导的结果状语从句有两种情况:①表示肯定的结果,可与“...enough to”结构互换;②表示否定的结果,它既可以与“too ... to ...”结构互换,也可以改为“not+ adj./ adv.+ enough to”(注意:此时的形容词或副词应为上句的反义词。)。另外“so ... that ...”结构前后主语不一致时,应在 enough或 too+ adj.后面加 for sb.。例如:
He is so clever that he does well in all the exams. (同义句转换)
He is clever enough to do well in all the exams.
3. 运用介词或介词短语改写
英语中的介词或介词短语,诸如 at the age of, without, instead of, with the help of, thanks to, be in, be satisfied with等,可与一些复合结构进行转换,这类结构主要是并列句或两个句子,由连词 and, but, when等连接。例如:
Mike didn't have breakfast and went to school. (同义句转换)
Mike went to school without having breakfast.
4. 运用并列连词(组)改写
运用并列连词(组) both ... and ..., neither ... nor ..., either ... or ... , not only... but also ..., as well as等,可将并列句或两个句子合并为一个简单句,而且要把握 neither... nor . .. , either . .. or ..., not only ... but also ...的就近原则。 例如:
They love sports. He loves sports, too.(同义句转换)
