Step I Leading-in Watch and answer: Students watch a video about smartphones and try to find: How can smartphones change our lives Think and talk: Students look at the pictures and try to answer: We can _____them to talk to each other. We can _____them to navigate the environment. The smartphones _______ to help our lives. We ___________ a lot by the smartphones. (keys: use; use; are used; are changed) Think and talk: Students try to think and talk about: Do you know the history of the phones Who invented the first telephone When was the first phone invented Who invented the first iphone Students know the answers through the pictures: The first telephone was invented by Alexander. The phone was invented in 1928. Steve Jobs invented the first iphone. Students find the sentences are in passive voice and active voice. Step II Presentation (Review and think) Compare two groups of sentences and explain the differences between active voice and passive pare the passive voice in the simple present tense and the simple past tense. (1)一般现在时被动语态:主语+am/is/are+动词过去分词(done) (2)一般过去时被动语态:主语+was/was+动词过去分词(done) Students think about: how to change do to done Step III Practice (how to use passive voice I) Students finish the exercises in 4b and check the answers. 4b:Complete the sentences with the correct forms of the verbs in the box. 1.You _____________ to the party last night, weren’t you Why didn’t you go 2. Step IV Practice ( (how to use passive voice II) Students read the sentence and think about: How to change active voice into passive voice in the simple past tense.
