Step 1.Revision
Work in pairs and talk about Spud Webb with the help of the following questions:
1. Who is Spud?
He is a retired American NBA player.
2. Where was he born?
In Texas, the USA.
3.What was his dream when he was young?
To play in the NBA. / To become an NBA player.
4.Was he a success?
Yes, he was .
How many points did he score when he finally got the chance to play in junior high?
He scored 20 points.
6. In senior high, why did the coach change his mind to let Spud play games?
Because he played even harder.
7. When did he become a player in NBA
In 1985.
Step 2 Do the exercise B3 on page 53
1) He was born in 1963.
