[探究] reply是较正式用语,可以作不及物动词,与介词________搭配共同构成谓语,意为“回答;答复”,相当于answer。另外,reply作及物动词时,后面接宾语从句。
[拓展] answer还有“接听电话”和“应门”之意,而reply却没有此类含义。
