1. 组成句子的成分叫句子成分。句子成分由词或词组充当。
2. 英语句子的基本成分有六种：
主语（subject）
谓语（predicate）
表语（predicative）
宾语（object）
定语（attribute）
状语(adverbial)
基本句型一： S + V (主＋谓)
基本句型二： S + V + P (主＋系＋表)
基本句型三： S + V + O (主＋谓＋宾)

There is a very nice cup on the table.
主在前, 谓中间, 宾语、状语排后面。
短语定语主宾后, 形、代定语主宾前。
间接宾语若在后, 直、间要用to, for连。
宾补位于宾语后, 地状常在时状前。
英语的句子以谓语为中心，前面是动作的
执行者(除被动语态外)，后面接动作的承受者。
