单音节词和部分双音节词 一般在词尾加-er tall-taller
以字母e结尾的词加-r fine-finer
重读闭音节词词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写该辅音字母，再加-er hot-hotter
以“辅音字母+y”结尾的双音节词，变“y” 为 “i”，再加-er lazy-lazier
多音节词和部分双音节词在其前面加more interesting-more interesting
比较级构成的规则变化

比较级有规律, 词尾加上-er两兄弟;
要是以e来结尾, 只有小二(r)跟上去;
重读闭音节词要牢记, 双写千万别忘记;
要是“辅音+y”来结尾, 小艾(i)要把y来替, 再加-er两兄弟;
多音节词加上m-o-r-e, 你看这样多容易。

“the + 比较级 + of the two” 意为 “两者中比较……的”。
Lisa is the taller of the two girls.
“比较级 + and + 比较级” 或 “more and more+ 形容词/副词原级”，表示 “越来越……”，其后均不可接than。
English is becoming more and more important.
“The + 比较级” the + 比较级意为 “越……，越……”。
The harder she worked, the more progress she made.

其否定结构是not as/so...as，意为“不如……。

1.比较对象必须一致，有时为了避免重复，可用that或those代替，而且that或those不能省略。

2.当表示超过的“程度”时，可以用much, a lot, a little, a bit, even, far等来修饰形容词比较级。需要注意的是，比较级不能用very, so, too等修饰。
