教学内容分析 Section A围绕单元话题“inventions”,介绍日常生活中常见物品的发明历史,包括发明时间、被什么人发明 及其作用和发展,语言结构上需要学习被动语态的过去时;活动1a-1c是整个Section A的基础,要求学生 使用I think it was invented before/after...的句型讨论图中发明出现的先后顺序,活动1b要求学生通过听力练习验证自己的推测,并将发明与其时间匹配,活动2a-2b侧重听说互动,是对单元话题的深化与拓展,语言结构上要求学生掌握Who was it invented by What was/is it used for
学情分析 九年级学生在七、八年级学过一般过去时和现在完成时,在学习Unit 5一般现在时的被动语态的基础上,进行学习一般过去时的被动语态,具备运用过去时和动词过去分词的一定技能 ,相对来说,被动语态句子结构和不规则动词的过去分词依然是难点,需要重点突破。
学习目标 Be able to read and use the new words and phrases by listening and reading. style be used for doing Be able to understand and use the target language by listening and talking . Who was it invented by When was it invented What was/is it used for Be able to use the passive voice in past tense by listening、reading and talking.
重难点 老师渗透过去时的被动语态,在老师帮助下能听懂、会表达目标语言; 老师引导学生学会简要讨论发明的历史; 小组合作,独立完成展示,自行总结过去时的被动语态,进行当堂测试。
教学评活动过程 教师活动学生活动环节一:Warming-up and lead-in教师活动 T:Do you know the word “invent” Yes,it's a verb,we can change it into “inventor”and “invention”,they are all noun.Now ,can you use these words to fill in the blanks 学生活动 Listen; Think; Talk; Review. Fill in the blanks. The many all his life.设计意图: 此环节是通过对已会单词“invent”的变形、运用,给学生创设情境,让学生发挥联想,以激发学生学习本节课的兴趣。环节二:Target language presentation and practice 教师活动 Show the pictures of Chinese great four inventions,tell the students that ancient Chinese invented them thousands of years ago. Ask : Who was the paper making invented by Help students to answer: The paper making was invented by CaiLun. We can also say:CaiLun invented the paper making. Show the pictures of TV、telephone、and car in the past.Tell them that: People in other countries invented the things many years ago. Tell students that :the great inventor Alexander Bell invented the first telephone.And we can also say:the first telephone was invented by Bell. Then ask the students:who was the first telephone invented by Help students to answer: It was invented by Bell.(Use the same way to teach another three things.) Review how to read the numbers:1865、2001、1800、531and so on. Show the pictures and ask: When was the car invented Help students answer: It was invented in 1885. Listen and match the inventions with the years. Check the answers.Then ask the students to work in pairs. Show a picture of a telephone,ask the students that: What is it used for Help students answer: It is used for talking with others far away. After that, ask students to work in pairs.学生活动 1.Learn the history of the Chinese great four inventions; 2.Use the target language to practice the passive voice in past tense; 3.Work in pairs to practice; 4.Listen and practice. 设计意图 此环节通过出示古今中外著名发明、发明家及发明时间,给学生进行直观教学;通过师生互动、生生互动,让学生学习并熟练掌握基本句型;通过听力练习使学生学会捕捉关键词获取有效信息,从而提高学生听说读的能力及对一般过去时被动语态的理解及运用能力。环节三:Group work 教师活动 Show a form, give some information about inventions, let the students practice asking and answering about the history and usages of the inventions. At last,ask students to give a report.学生活动 1.Get the useful information in the form to work in groups. 2.Ask and answer. 3.Give a report in front of the class. 设计意图 此环节让学生通过获取表格里的信息,以生生互动的形式练习目标语言,在练习过程中暴露问题、发现问题并及时解决问题,是非常有效的课堂检测及反馈。环节四:Oral practice教师活动 Encourage the students to study hard, in order to be an inventor in the future. And be proud of Chinese.学生活动 Look 、think、discuss设计意图 此环节通过生活当中随处可见的发明,激发学生热爱科学 、爱动脑、努力学习,善于动手,运用所学知识,努力创造发明,并培养学生的爱国情操。环节五:Summary 教师活动 Ask the students to share what they learned in this class. 学生活动 Students share what they learned in this class. 设计意图 通过学生自己回顾、总结本节课所学单词、短语、及目标语言 ,以加深学生理解和掌握,也能使老师检测学生学习的效果。教师活动 Ask students to do some exercises. 1.Jack watered the flowers yesterday. 2.Mary sent two e-mails yesterday. 3.He closed the door last night. 4.Edison invented the light bulb in 1879.学生活动 Students do the exercises by themselves first. Students check the answers and find out the mistakes in their answers. Students summary.设计意图 此环节通过学生先独立思考完成练习,挑学生演板,让别的同学批改并更正错误 ,最后引导学生总结,达到老师进一步检测、学生进一步巩固提高的目的。 环节六:Homework教师活动 Use the information in the chart to describe the history of an invention,write the sentence using the passive voice.学生活动设计意图此环节加深学生对 一般过去时被动语态的理解和运用。
板书设计 Unit 6 When was it invented Section A (1a-2c) A: Who was the telephone invented by B:It was invented by Bell. A:When was it invented B:It was invented in 1876. A:What was/is used for B:It was/is used for talking with people far away. The telephone was invented(by Alexander Bell)in 1876.
作业与拓展学习设计 1.Choose an object in our everyday life ,write a short passage to describe the history of the invention(at least 5or 6 sentences). 2.Read more about the history of the great inventions.

教学反思与改进 本节课备课较充分,重点突出,层次分明,教学环节合理,练习充分,参与度较高,但是课堂延伸不够,最后一个环节的作业 ,能当堂检测、展示的话效果更好。
