When you turn off a device, it stops using power. Usually I just turn off my television before going out, thinking it is a safe and green way. I don’t know it’s still a waste of energy.
I once thought we should turn off the light as soon as possible. In fact, if we are using the LED bulbs, it isn't favourale for power saving. This is because the instant high voltage(高电压) is twice than the usual voltage. Each usual turn-on-off action is equal to the power we keep the LED on for ten hours constantly!

Today I would like to talk about if paper shopping bags are better than plastic bags.
It’s widely acknowledged that plastic bags cause litter and are a danger to wild animals. It takes hundreds of years for plastic bags to break down. Therefore, plastic bags do harm to the environment. Because of this, some people think paper bags are better than plastic ones. But that is not true.
Making paper bags uses much more energy and water. It also produces more green house gases. So we come to the conclusion that paper bags are not environmentally friendly, either.
Since both of the above are not good for the environment, what's really green I suggest taking a reusable bag with you when shopping. It is really green. Starting from the small things around us, everyone can become a real "greener".

Dear Friends,
We are writing this letter to call on everyone to take part in the Clear Your Plate campaign. It urges people to save food by not wasting anything on the dining table. You may not know over 30% of the world's food is wasted, while many people in poor areas do not have enough to eat. In order to save food,we propose:
1 Do not order more than you need in the school canteen.
2 Order less and take leftover food home when dining in restaurants.
3 Call on family members and friends to take part in the campaign.
Reducing daily food waste by just 5% could save millions of people from starvation. Let's start doing what we can to make the world a greener, cleaner place!
With best wishes,
Class 8

Dear Tom,
Do you think it incredible that the population of the Tibetan antelopes once reduced sharply from about 1, 000, 000 in 1990 Thus, it was time to adopt some methods to protect the Tibetan antelopes from extinction.
Above all, establishing several reserves actually contributed to the protection of wild species. What's more, hunting the Tibetan antelopes without permission must be banned. Most importantly, we took the public into account, which meant we took measures to raise people's awareness to protect Tibetan antelopes.
Looking forward to your early reply.
Yours,
Li Hua
