本单元主题:“career"该主题属于“人与自我”“人与社会”的范畴,涉及到的是“生活与学习”,本单元的教学重点本单元学习一些职业名词等, 本单元的教学重点是有关的英语表达和一般现在时的简单用法,主要句型是:What does he/she do He/She is a …Is he/she a … Yes, …No, ...本单元所谈及的“career”内容贴近学生生活,学生非常感兴趣,学起来较容易。教师在教学中应注意激活学生的记忆,以旧引新,引导学生熟练掌握新旧知识。

学情分析
本本单元是本册书的第五单元,本单元学习一些职业名词等, 本单元的教学重点是有关的英语表达和一般现在时的简单用法,主要句型是:What does he/she do He/She is a …Is he/she a … Yes, …No, ...六年级的学生在之前已经接触学习过一些家庭成员的称呼以及简单的职业名词,如teacher,doctor,cook,driver,farmer,nurse等。他们能够使用询问职业的语言结构“-What's your father's job -My father is a doctor.”进行交流沟通。同时,学生已经具备抓关键词,梳理整合信息的能力;具备在真实情景中简单交流的能力。通过小组自主探究学习新词,掌握基本的语言知识,学习如何谈论家人的职业, 谈论父母的工作, 谈论自己长大想成为从事什么职业等,能从不同角度认识职业,明白能从事某些职业应具备的条件,构思自己的这样梦想。从培养学生进行合作学习、自主学习入手,体现了语言学习的交际功能。同时,教学活动的设计也要体现难易梯度和层次,因材施教,让每一位学生在感知、实践、参与、合作中实现任务目标,体验成功的喜悦。。

节课是词汇篇,主要学习职业名词factory worker, postman, businessman, police officer等核心词汇和句型What does he/she do 或Is he/she a +职业名词 询问确认某人的职业等, 根据图片, 音频, 书写等让学生从听觉、视觉直观,知识拓展等感知本节课的核心词汇和句型。通过自主发表看法和意见,让学生在交际中巩固所学内容,从中体验、实践、交流和探究语言,达成逐步熟悉词汇的意义和功能再通过和同学之间谈论家人的职业, 谈论父母的工作, 谈论自己长大想成为从事什么职业。
