Have you seen the clay(陶土) soldiers in Xi'an's terracotta museum Do you know the true colours of them
More than 2,000 years ago, Qin Shihuang ordered people to build the Terracotta Army. He hoped that the army would protect him after he died.
In 1974, some farmers found several clay soldiers by accident in Xi'an. After that, about 8,000 more were found by archeologists(考古学家).
Today, the clay soldiers are light brown. But they weren't always this colour. When they were made, they had the colours of green, red and so on. Sadly, most of the colours disappeared today.
Archeologists are facing a new challenge now. They are going to find a way to put the colours onto the clay soldiers again. If they succeed in doing it, people will be able to see what the clay soldiers originally(最初) looked like.

三、阅读理解
In most museums, exhibits are protected by glass boxes or windows. But the Six Arts Museum is special. Visitors can move closer to the exhibits and even touch them there.
The Six Arts Museum is in Lili, an ancient town in Suzhou. “The pieces inside the museum, mostly Chinese ancient art pieces, are made from wood and stone. They are not easily damaged. At the same time, it's not difficult to protect and repair(修理) them. Those are the main reasons why visitors are allowed to touch the exhibits here,” said Mitch Dudek, founder of the museum.
Dudek, coming from the USA, first came to China in 1981 as an international student and went to work in Shanghai after completing a university degree. “I became interested in Chinese culture and ancient art pieces as soon as I arrived in China. Everything was fresh and new to me,” said Dudek. Then he began collecting art pieces.
The road to collecting was not easy. However, Dudek never stopped. Over the past 40 years, he's travelled all over China. He also wants more people to enjoy these beautiful things. With the help of the local government and the community(社区), the Six Arts Museum was opened to the public in mid-2018. Since then, thousands of people have visited it. Those beautiful works help them experience the beauty of life and culture in the past.
In the future, Dudek wants to make the museum the best it can possibly be. He hopes it could work as a cultural bridge between the Chinese people and foreigners.
