教材内容解析:
本板块呈现了一篇反映单元主题的课文,语篇类型为论说文,课文分析了足球在全世界流行的原因。读前的导入活动介绍了与足球比赛相关的术语,帮助学生提前熟悉课文活动,为课文学习做铺垫。读中活动考察学生快速查找具体信息的能力。读后活动,则通过请学生分析作者的写作意图,理解细节信息和回答开放性问题等形式,引导学生深入思考探究主题意义。
学情分析:
学生英语基础一般,但是学习热情高,学习态度端正。学生在原有英语学习基础上已经具备了阅读过程中获取细节信息的能力,部分学生能较为自信的表达观点,但学生的阅读能力主要局限于应试范围,逻辑分析、推理判断能力尚有不足,加工、处理阅读中信息的能力也较弱。
教学目标:
1 带领学生阅读课文内容,在文中快速找到相关信息。
2引导学生找出并理解足球这项运动风靡世界的三个原因。
3 引导学生基于课文内容,思考哪些体育运动与足球一样在中国盛行,并分析其背后的原因。
教学重点:
引导学生通过自主阅读和小组合作等方式 了解足球风靡世界的原因,并思考中国流行的体育运动有哪些?
教学难点:
引导学生阅读文本,准确获取足球风靡世界的信息,提高对不同文化的认识。
教学方法:任务教学法.
教学过程:
Step 1: activity 1 Pre-reading
In the pre-reading activities,teachers help students to get familiar with the text topics in advance and activate the existing language and background knowledge.
1.work in groups.Confirm the main information in the picture and discuss the terms related to the football match.Teachers can encourage students to collect more relevant information before class.
2.According to the existing background knowledge and the information collected before class,students discuss and say the content of each representative in the picture of the football match.
3.Organize students to report the results of group discussion.
设计意图:帮助学生提前熟悉课文话题,激活已有的语言和知识背景,帮助学生更好的理解文章进入阅读环节。
Step 2: Activity 2 Skim-reading
Please read the text and understand the content.
1.Ask students to look through the questions to identify the Information they should pay special attention to in the reading.
2.Read the text quickly and find the relevant information.
3.Please answer some questions,the whole class check the answers,and then enter the text learning link.
设计意图:带领学生略读课文,带着任务阅读,在文中快速查找相关信息,弄清楚现代足球的起源。
Step 3: activity 3 Deeper-reading
1.Read the four choices independently choose the author's intention to the understanding n use this activity to check students understanding of the main idea of the text and the author's intention after skin of the text,and find the corresponding content in the text as the basis of their choice.
2. The whole class check the answer the teacher can ask part of the students to explain their choice basis.
设计意图:检验学生略读之后对课文主旨大意和作者写作意图的理解,获取文章核心信息。
Step 4: Deep-reading Further understanding
1.Look at the design and pictures of the activity and understand the requirements of the activity.
2.Read the text carefully and complete the chart with the expressions in the text.
3.Ask each student to read the whole sentences in the chart,check the answers,and remind the students to pay attention to the writing method of illustration in the essay.
设计意图:带领学生进一步梳理课文内容和结构,考查学生理解课文细节和整合信息的能力。
Step 5: Post-reading Think and Share
1.Students in groups discuss the answers to the questions in this section.
2.Ask individual students to answer the questions.and other students to add or discuss freely.
设计意图 ;鼓励学生在深入理解文章主题的同时联系自身实际进行知识和思维能力的拓展与迁移,思考中国流行的其他体育运动,并分析其流行的原因,为本单元的后续学习做铺垫。
Step 6: Language points
1.That football is such a simple game to play is perhaps the basis of its popularity.
首先,教师可以写引导学生找出整句话的主语,当学生回答That football is such a simple game to play之后,引导学生判断这是一个句子还是一个短语。学生做出回答后,教师引人概念:在一个复合句中,由一个句子作主语时,这个句子叫主语从句。然后请学生观察这个主语从句,分析句子开头为何要加hat,继而总结出主语从句的用法。
2.It breaks down walls and brings people together on and off the field.
break down可以按照字面意思理解,意为“打倒,砸破”,其英文释义为:If you breakdown a door or barrier,you hit it so hard that it falls to the ground.
教师可以进一步讲解该短语的其他常见含义和用法。
Step 7: Homework
1.Review new words and phrases learned in this period.
2.Surf the Internet to find more information about other sports
课后反思:
1.本文是什么体裁?文章大意是什么,作者的写作目的是什么?
2.能否在略读过程中获取目标信息?如何获取主题句。
3.你是如何理解足球文化的,在小组讨论或发表观点时,已有词汇是否能够支撑想要表达的观点?
