The topic of this unit is mainly about music. Students will learn the new words and attributive clause and learn to express preferences. They also need to improve their listening ability and oral English in this period.
Teaching goals
1. Make students learn the new words: prefer lyrics electronic music Australian 。
2. Lead students to learn new sentence structure: Attributive clauses
3. Improve students’ listening ability of talking about the music.
4. Make students learn to enjoy the music.

1.Students need to master the new words and key sentences.

Teaching Procedures
Step 1: Lead-in
1. Play a song to relax students and show the teaching goals.
Step 2 Presentation
Have a discussion by the pictures and songs to learn new words and sentences.
Tell and present more sentences and ask students to say more by using the new sentence structure.
Step 3 Oral Practice (1c)
Give some tips to students to lead them to think more new sentences.
Students work in groups to practice.
3. Invite some pairs to show their talk in order to help the teacher know more about them.
Step4 Listening Practice (1b)
Pre-listening: Present the question and help students make sure what information they have to get.
2. While-listening: Play the recording for them, and remind them to listen carefully to find out the kinds of music Tony and Betty like.
3. Post-listening: Ask students to listen again and and then check the answers in the chart.
Listening Practice(2a and 2b)
1.Pre-listening: Talk about the music that i like, and make students talk about the picture in 2a, and ask them to guess what the conversation is about.
2. While-listening: Play the recording and ask them to find out what people are talking in the recording and do the exercise of 2a. Check the answers of 2a and discuss the answers. Listen again and complete the sentences in 2b.
3. Post-listening: Check the answers together and retell the listening materials in their own words. Then listen for the third time to make sure students understand the conversation and read the tapescripts.
Step5 Consolidation
Students do some exercises in class to review the attributive clauses.
Step 6 Summarize
To sum up the words and new sentences that we’ve learnt.
Step 7 Homework
Review the new sentences.
Talk about something that you like with your friends by using attributive clauses.

教学反思
八一糖厂中学 范海娟
本节课是本单元的第一课时,主要是引导学生以音乐为话题来展开讨论,从而初步学习定语从句的用法,和能够听懂有关谈论所喜欢的音乐种类的对话,进而提高学生听和说的能力。在课程环节处理上,我没有合理安排好,应该是先让学生在听懂课文内容的基础上再进行口语训练这样才会更符合新课标的要求和学生的实际情况。由于环节安排不合理,时间把握不到位,到时本节课没有按照预定设计完成。同时,在引导学生方面做得也不到位,在新知识的传授上,不管是教学方法还是深度难度,都没有把握得很好。所以,在备课的时候,备学情也是极其重要的。
但是,不管结果怎么样,我特别感谢有这样的机会可以锻炼自己,认清自己,发现自身的不足和教学上的各方面欠缺,在以后的教育教学工作中,我定会虚心学习,加强专业知识和素养,潜心研究,做一名认真务实,脚踏实地的合格的英语教师。
