Part 1 The teaching content
The topic is selected from grade 8 in PEP——Have you read Treasure Island yet Unit 8 Section A. The teaching content is from Grammar Focus. The main idea of the topic is how to use the present perfect tense to talk about the things that happened in the past affect the present. This part concludes not only grammar, but also developing the students’ abilities of speaking and writing.

Knowledge aims:
To learn to use present perfect tense talk about the things that happened in the past affect the present.
To learn to use different forms of present perfect tense and how change the V-ed
To learn to how to use this tense and when to use it.
Ability aims:

Step 1:Lead in
Make a self introduction and talk something about the reading competition.
(purpose: it can attract students’ attention and focus on the class)

Step 2:Presentation & Exercise
The reporter ask the competitors——What have you read And then get some sentences, ask students to explore the structure of the present perfect tense, finish the exercise and then explore the forms of Verbs of present perfect tense.
(purpose: In the part, students can get the structure of the present perfect tense and rules of V-ed in it. The exercise can deepen their understanding of how to change Verb.)

2. Look at the Grammar Focus and explore the forms of present perfect tense(Affirmative, negative, interrogative forms) and then do exercise.
(purpose: This can make students know how to write proper sentence by using present perfect tense.)
3. Look at the exercise of 4a and show some sentences of it and ask students to find out the similarities and explore the usage of time markers.
(purpose: This make students can have a better understanding of their usage.)

Step 3:Summary
During my teaching, I’ll try my best to get my class alive and encourage the students to communicate with each other. And then summarize the present perfect tense from five aspects. structure, usage, rules of V-ed, different forms and time markers.

Prepare a passage for students to do exercise and ask them to fill in the blanks with the correct forms.
(purpose: This part can check students whether have mastered these usages.)
