教学过程
教学目标1:能理解不同的改善英语学习的方式。(学习理解) Activity 1 导入主题:教师以学生的问题“如何改善英语”导入本课,让学生简单思考后,呈现本课学习目标。(感知与注意) 教师活动: 教师以自己的一位学生提出的问题“该如何改善英语”为切入点,导入本课,启发学生思考改善英语的方式,然后再呈现本课目标。 T:One of my students wants to know how to improve English. Do you have any useful ways of improving English T:Today, we’re going to learn about it. After this lesson, you will understand different ways to improve English, give others advice on improving English and make your own English study plan. 学生活动: 积极思考改善英语的一些方式并回答。对本课学习目标做基本了解。 设计意图:以真实的问题切入,不但激发学生学习兴趣,还使本课更具有真实性、情境性和整体性。呈现本课目标,让学生带着目标去学习,有助于学生在学习时检测自己的学习效果。
Activity 2 阅读获取:学生在教师的引导下阅读用报纸和网络等方式来改善英语的对话或文章,通过练习和梳理,简单获取、理解改善英语的几种方式,概括与整合对自己有用的学习方式。(获取与理解、概括与整合) 教师活动: 教师引导学生阅读James和Helen的对话并完成选词填空练习。 T:James and Helen are talking about ways to improve English. Let’s read the conversation and complete it with the words given. T:What’s Helen’s problem Yes, she has problem with reading. What advice does James give Great. We can also learn from James. 教师引导学生阅读文本,呈现阅读练习,引导学生完成相关练习并思考不同学习方式是否适合自己。 T:Here is a passage about improving English. What’s it mainly about Please read and choose the right answer. T:How can we use the Internet to study Read and find the answers, and then fill in the blanks. T:Which do you think is a better way for you to learn English Learning online or in other ways Why 学生活动: 阅读James和Helen的对话并完成选词填空练习,初步理解利用报纸改善或提高英语的方式。 S:She wants to improve her reading. James start with “here is my advice” and then he gives specific advice. 学生阅读文本,选择文章主要描写的内容,然后列出网上学习英语的具体方法,最后思考上网学习英语和其他方式学习英语哪一种更适合自己。 S:It’s about learning English on the Internet. S:We can use the Internet to visit the websites, get answers instantly, chat with other English speakers freely and enjoy the latest English songs to improve our English. S: I think learning by … is better for me, because…设计意图:学生以阅读文本为基础,从文本中获取、理解有关改善英语的方式,活动难度由浅入深,引导学生根据自己的情况选择合适的方式改善英语。
教学目标2:能给其他人就改善英语提供建议。(应用实践) Activity 3 实战演练:学生根据不同学生在英语学习中遇到的问题,用上节课学过的几点要求提出改善英语的建议。(分析与判断、内化与运用) 教师活动: 教师引导学生先读一读两位学生在英语学习上遇到的问题,并初步分析是哪方面的问题,引出上节课提到的要点-根据问题提建议。 T:Read the problems of Student A and Student B. We should give advice according to the problem. 教师引导学生从文本中学习回顾如何就一个建议给他人具体建议或细节。 T: And after that, we can give specific advice by giving more specific advice like this. S: He also talks about the reasons of doing these things. 学生回忆上节课所学的提建议的各种句型,并结合本课内容运用这些句型给建议。 S: For Student A. Here is my advice. First, how about using a dictionary to find the meaning of new words?You can find the word in the dictionary first. Then, you can write down the meaning of the word on your notebook. It’s easy and convenient because you can do that whenever you want. Then, why don’t you ask your teacher to choose an English book for you Your teacher knows what kind of books are suitable for you.设计意图:让学生通过实践演练一步步分析问题,根据问题列出具体建议,然后再运用已学的不同句型进行表达,有助于学生对知识的分析与判断、内化与运用所学知识。
教学目标3:能根据自己的学习情况和特点制定英语学习计划。(迁移创新) Activity 4 制定计划:学生评价自己在英语学习中做得不够好的地方,并根据自己的特点初步制定学习计划。学生互相给建议后再次修改、完善自己的学习计划。(批判与评价、想象和创造) 教师活动: 教师让学生罗列自己在英语学习中存在不足的地方,并根据这些不足写下自己应该做的事情。 T:Now it’s time for you to make a study plan to improve your English. At first, let’s write down what you are not good at in English. T:Now write down what you should do according to what you are not good at. 教师引导学生根据上述不足和应该做的事制定个人今年的英语学习计划。教师可以给出一个示例供学生参考。 T:Now, let's make an English study plan for this year. Use the information in Activity 8 to help you. 教师引导学生互相提建议,然后再次修改完善自己的学习计划。 T:Work in pairs. Discuss your study plan. Give advice to each other. Don’t forget the tips we learnt.
