Here are some ways to write detective stories. They can help you to create another Sherlock Holmes or Miss Marple.
Introduce the detective. You will need to explain the background to the story and set up the world in which your detective lives. You should also explain any rule that governs(统治) that world. You should carefully give details about any important point and character in the story.

Jane was on her way home at around 6 o’clock. It was getting dark. As she drove into her community, she noticed a man. She saw the man walking along the sidewalk next to some houses. Jane was on her way home at around 6 o’clock. It was getting dark. As she drove into her community, she noticed a man. She saw the man walking along the sidewalk next to some houses.
